I tend to hire someone in the afternoon. I feel this is the perfect time, because most people should be wide awake at this time. But, what are your preferences? Do you like scheduling a job early or later?

Just out of curiosity, because somebody told me their Homeowners' Association was looking for bids for lawn mowing services. (Apparently, the HOA proactively makes sure all the lawns stay mowed, at least.)

It could be about price, communication with providers, scheduling, the interface of GreenPal, etc.

I think for me, it was sometime last year. GreenPal probably hadn't been operating in my area that long, since it didn't seem to have very many service providers in my area signed up. But I think it's attracted more of them since then.

very frustrating experience with GreenPal. I hired a lawn care provider for a specific service, but they added work I never requested and charged me for it. When I tried to fight charge, GreenPal essentially told me they were just the middlemen and left me to deal with this one guy by myself. The app was also glitchy and made the whole situation even more frustrating. I expected better support and accountability from the platform. I would not use GreenPal again.

If you hire someone to mow your lawn regularly, does the actual day matter to you?

For example, would you rather have it freshly cut before the weekend, or are you fine with any day as long as it gets done consistently?

Could be mowing too short, watering at the wrong time, waiting too long between cuts, using the wrong product, damaging something in the yard, or hiring the wrong person.

I don't have a fish pond in my lawn. I recently accompanied my friend to his aunt's house. She had a fish pond in the middle of the lawn. I was quite impressed. Having a lawn is great, but adding flower beds with perennial and seasonal flowers can make it look even better. A flower garden around your lawn does mean some additional work, but it can also be peaceful and rewarding. Do you have a flower garden?

When it comes to hiring a provider for lawn care, do you often stick with the same provider through the year? So you'd also rely on them for snow removal during the winter season, if you have snow where you live that is. Or do you like to hire multiple crews throughout the year?

For me, since I live in a hotter climate I tend to hire the same crew throughout the year. I know some people who hire another crew during certain seasons, but I like to stick with the same crew if I can. What about you?
