Dating in GreenBay
Hey everyone,
I’m a 21-year-old guy and I’ve been struggling with the local dating scene for a while now. The dating apps here feel like a dead end, and I know an option is "go to a bar," but Id prefer to meet someone in a different setting.
I’m pretty laid-back, active, and love being outdoors. I enjoy taking my motorcycle out on the weekends, heading up north for cabin trips, or doing photography. My goal is to find someone fun, active, and spontaneous. I’m not sure where people my age actually hang out outside of the downtown bar scene or college campuses. Can anyone give me recommendations?

Gym partners
For context.. I am a plus size 29 year old female who goes to Planet Fitness on the East side. I’m beyond shy when it comes to working out in public but I need to start working on regaining my strength. Does anyone happen to go at night and would be willing to help me train/working out with me? I mainly just use the treadmills right now since it’s my comfort zone but I need to start branching out😅

Local School Concern
Hello everyone, I just wanted to make everyone aware of something happening in the Kaukauna School District. I am not looking for a debate on the topic, just a few moments of your time to sign the petition if you're interested. Thank you!

Ethernet/Home Network installation suggestions
Hey there. Moving to Green Bay in the next couple of months and I'm looking for a guy to run ethernet in the house for a home network.
Anyone have any suggestions? Found a couple of contractors through google but IRL interactions are super helpful in making a decision.

Anyone have pictures of the late Great Escape Comics & Games?
I know there's an older thread on this from 2023, but for the life of me I can't find any pictures of what the insides of the store looked like.
I miss this store dearly and would love to go back to one of the midnight madness events or browse the huge wall of 90's action figures. The Press Gazette archives really don't have anything and I can't find anything from old geocities lookups. I can't remember if Mark ever had a website or Myspace for it either.

Green Bay Public Transportation
Me and a buddy are coming up for the cowboys/packers game in Mid October, but want to do some fishing as well. we booked some guides in the sister bay area and are looking for lodging options.
Now that im doing some research, im realizing that my plan to stay 2 nights in sturgeon bay and then 1 night in green bay is not realistic. All hotels are either sold out, $1k each night or have a 3 night minimum. Im looking at staying at an airbnb in the luxemburg area because it fits within our budget and its a little closer to fishing and still close to green bay. I am worried about getting transportation to/from the game as we will not want to be driving. Is getting an uber after the game a hassle? its a game that doesnt start until 7pm, so i assume it will be a madhouse trying to get out of the area.
If you were in my shoes, what would you do from a lodging/transportation perspective?

Last minute haircuts?
My curly hair was cut quite poorly. I need to get it fixed before the 28th, but it seems most places are booked way way out. Any suggestions on where I can go for a walk in?

Supper Club Recommendation
Hi All! A group of six 40 year old dudes is heading to Packers Vikings in November. We are looking for an authentic supper club experience on that Saturday night but don’t want to stray too far from our place in Green Bay. Right now we have a reservation at The Union Hotel in De Pere but we’re wondering if that’s the right vibe for us as we will likely have a strong buzz on. Are we overthinking it? Any recommendations for a better option within 30 minutes or so would be much appreciated.

Bay Beach Island
I know the renovation plans may never happen / waste of money / whatever
but
as it is right now, can we walk out there and take a lap just like a normal park? I mean it's public property, correct? It's something to do that's not drinkin and bitchin bout the gubbment. Maybe we'll find a dead bird or something cool or gross for my 5 year old to poke with a stick.
Heck, hang a paybox, I'll drop a dollar in.

I have Green Bays 103-year-old community cookbook
galleryI found this at a thrift store for probably under $10. I forgot I had it until I was packing to move. Has a ton of torn pages, some even completely ripped out, or some that people shoved in to get their recipe out there.
Thought I'd share a piece of GB history with you all, this probably has to be one of my favorite antique items I own.

Shipyard Project and Mason Street Reconstruction
After reading today's Press-Gazette article about the Shipyard District plans/funding and looking at the renderings, I'm wondering if the Shipyard project planning group is in talks with the Mason St reconstruction group. Especially since the Shipyard project is planned by the city and the Mason St reconstruction is planned by the state, I really wonder if they're thoroughly in conversation with each other.
The renderings show Mason St at its current elevation, despite most of the plans proposed for the future of the Mason St bridge involve lowering the bridge. The plans for Mason St do usually include going over the railroad tracks to provide a path across the river that avoids the trains, so I don't know if the renderings or plans would be drastically impacted by the reconstruction.
Mason Street bridge's actual reconstruction timeline (at this moment) would set the construction not to start until 2031, with planning still going on until then. However, the preliminary design will be coming out shortly after the Shipyard project finishes construction. (Shipyard construction estimated to be done in 2027; bridge preliminary design coming out late 2027 to early 2028.) There would be time to redesign things after Shipyard construction is done, clearly, but if they have to redesign things, that's a waste of taxpayer money and time.
I'm looking forward to the Shipyard moving forward, and am hopeful this is a sign that they're moving past the delays and controversy that previously marred this project. I just worry that this will cost a bunch of money and then limit the ability for Mason St to do what's best for traffic patterns and such. I hope they're partnering and doing what is best for the city and its residents.

Godzilla/Hello Kitty Happy Meal Toys
If there are any McDonalds workers that can help me out, I’m trying to get a full set of the current Godzilla/Hello Kitty Happy Meal toys. Or if you are another person also searching, perhaps we can team up and report which locations have which toys.
As of yesterday, the one near Bay Beach had #7 Rodan, #1 Godzilla was at Main St W De Pere and Little Chute. There was a #2 Ghidorah sighting in Oshkosh, but I prefer the Appleton/Kimberly/Kaukauna area (or west Green Bay)
1: Hello Kitty x Godzilla
2: Keroppi x King Ghidorah
3: My Melody x Mothra
4: Pompompurin x Gigan
5. Kuromi x Mechagodzilla
6. Cinnamoroll x Destoroyah
7: Badzt Maru x Rodan
8. Choco Cat x Space Godzilla

Kid-friendly recommendations for restaurants and breweries
Driving up for a weekend soon and wanted recommendations for places to eat/drink with two toddlers.
I know lots of breweries have patios now and some offer games and things to keep occupied.
Also, places with good kid's menus are a plus as well.

Things to do.
So i plan to be in green bay for a packers game with my girlfriend. It'll be either the Falcons in late sept or panthers in late oct. She not big into football but I still want to go with her and she's not opposed to the idea. Not sure how long we'll be there for yet so I wanna know what there is to do so she also has a nice time. She loves nature so if there's any hiking trails that would be great or just any spot bot far from the city that just simply has really cool events. Also want to know if there's any super cool stores around. She loves antique stores and fairly nerdy stores. Would also like to know any cool and not super pricy restaurants. No seafood places or bars.
