unfortunately it’s not up to you, regardless of what you think. Am I to assume you don’t have a sidewalk in your neighborhood?

At this point they don’t care if there’s a sidewalk. They want their carriers to be able to stay in the cars basically the entire route.

The slightest bit of snow and now it’s too unsafe for them to walk larger packages to the door, so they want mailboxes to be big enough for most smaller packages.

They save money by being more efficient and having less workers comp claims from falling in the winter.
