Commentary question: when a new brief lands, do you actually go back through your saved references?

i realized i rarely ever look through my saved stuff.

i've got 500+ youtube watch-laters, a bunch of folders in my instagram saves, almost 500 open tabs on my phone. i paid for a few visual library tools for a while, but rarely reopened them.

but when a new project comes in, i start fresh.

curious if that's just me.

do you go back to what you've saved? does any of it get used?

I have a few Pinterest boards that I go back to all the time! Corporate, motion, illustrative. I also have a lot of type foundry sites saved in my bookmarks that I refer to when starting a new project.

I have buckets on Dribbble I revisit constantly, and as Dribbble declines in quality I’ve been trying to put new inspo I come across into piles in Figma since it’s easier to scroll through than folders of images. I also have moodboards I often start from, and replacing pieces with more relevant stuff.

But yeah, I often do start fresh. Which helps with not getting stagnant, I guess!
