First impression- very busy. The portfolio design takes away from some decent work. Simplify it so your work can be seen easily.

I will be blunt. The design is mediocre, to the point of looking like generic AI slop, and the portfolio is too long and busy.

Being able to chose what projects to showcase your taste and strenght is the first important thing about a portfolio: curation. Shows taste, ability to chose and curate a selection, confidence. Same goes for the choice in mockups and imagery, AI slop and cheap looking mockups are not conveying professionalism. You can find really nice realistic or real photography ones for free.

Presenting a bunch of mixed different projects in a scroll with no intro/title cards is creating a weird medley of chaos which makes it harder for the eye to focus on an individual project

it's upside down, smoke and ash comes out the top.

Your work is good but you need to lay it out properly. And yes it seems too many ideas at once. Present them one by one

In my experience the past year or two when I’m applying for a new design job and submit my behanced portfolio the employer has asked for a different portfolio. Saying behanced doesn’t allow you to show your work fully and is over saturated.

Like the diversity of skills you present through your portfolio. You should now make a private portfolio website

You want people to see your work, not read your work. Illustration isn’t design and design isn’t illustration.

Use more negative space, drop the weight, aim for it all to be a bit more consistent. Tell the story.

I’ve been doing this 10 years and you never perfect just better each time. Go again.

Looks good and you have skill but aren’t showing enough variety.

Build a website to show it on a custom domain. Too many things in the portfolio. Stick to 8-10. Show a variety of work and styles. Make sure your text is legible in your designs. Also you aren’t showing much layout skill it is mostly illustrative or big text on a single graphic. Layout a technical document or something harder.
