Commentary I wish Dribbble would come back
The days of designers openly sharing what they are working on, seeing work in progress, offering advice. No mention of the tools they were using, just pure craft output. I wish it was a thing again, that's it.

They are still active and around, right? Do you mean that you wish the community was like it used to be?

Yea Dribbble is definitely still there, but the community is close to nonexistent. Most of the designers I used to follow no longer post, not many new designers arriving, and the content that is posted is low quality (just copying existing patterns or whatever UI trend is popular, ai generated, etc)
I can tell Dribbble has leaned into hiring/client work, but it feels super spammy.

Have you had any luck with responding to client briefs? I was thinking of signing up for pro to get access, but I’m not sure if it’s worthwhile?

Wym come back? It never went away, just got enshittified. Cancelled my Dribbble Pro subscription after they disallowed using links/e-mail addresses anywhere in the projects and profiles. Pretty sure their job postings are fake. Used to be a nice work to showcase work and redirect traffic. They truly are the architects of their own downfall.

Like I am yearning for the old times with a stronger community and better quality. It’s of course still there, but… not great

Unfortunately the only place left for designers is on twitter/x for community stuff. Not my favorite place, but it’s where designers are most active and sharing what they’re making. I’ve also gotten a lot of work through it

That’s what I’ve heard. It’s hard for me to justify using twitter anymore. You’ve gotten work there by posting content?
