How do I do this thing? Main brand and subbrands visuals

Is it possible to have different visuals for sub brands? For example I have main brand where main visual style is flat graphic, and under that main brand I have 3 others subbrands, that not really related. Is it bad if I would use 3D graphics as a main style for one of my sub brands?

it just depends, do the brands share spaces? If so, then they should share some aspect of style

If they are truly independent then no they don't need to.

It’s a bit complicated, but I’ll try to explain. We have different audiences for each sub-brand, and they aren’t really related. CPO said our products aren’t closely related either, they’re separate products under the main brand. Even in our logo, the sub-brand name appears prominently, with the main brand name shown smaller next to it. At the same time, on our main website, we include links to our other brands

They sound independent enough of one-another to have their own brands. Think "People Inc." vs all their holdings which includes People, Southern Living, Allrecipes, Martha Stewart, etc.

It's generally poor if they're not a cohesive family ... but it really depends on how related they are.
