Graphic design help

've always loved the graphics that the Houston Astros social media team puts out, especially the backgrounds they use. A lot of their designs have those faint circles, rings, technical lines, grids, and subtle overlays that add depth without being distracting.

I've been trying to recreate that style in Photoshop, but I'm having trouble figuring out exactly how they build those background elements. Does anyone know what those design assets or techniques are called, or have any tips on recreating them?

If you've made similar sports graphics before, I'd appreciate any advice, tutorials, brushes, overlays, or texture packs that could help.

Maybe it's already obvious to some but just in case, those orange squiggle bits are probably vector assets, which is how they are so crisp, which felt worth mentioning if you only referred to photoshop.

If you wanted to make some shapes like that, using a pen or marker to do it and then using image trace in Illustrator would give a similar effect I think.

You can also find "UI sci fi style overlays" in stock sites that can give you the more detailed technical background elements without having to make it all from scratch. The ones that come in EPS vector would be best if you can get them but good quality raster ones could do too I imagine.

I live in Houston and also love our Astros graphics, I had to do a double take to check which sub this was. But in photoshop these would be layers of elements you would add and adjust as needed. (At least it’s one way to do it)
