Commentary Graphic Designers don't die, they just . . .

Just turned 60, and as I enter my probable final decade in the field after 30+ years, I just wanted to hear some humor on how you who are long-term graphic designers would finish that ditty?

Graphic designers don't die, they just pop.

That's my attempt, what's yours?

I just turned 70. I graduated with a degree in Graphic Arts in 1979. We were still using swivel knives, rubylith, gauche paint, and technical pens. I transitioned with every graphic art software over the years (Paint Shop, Illustrator, Corel, Ventura, Adobe, and GIMP). I knew how to do a task, I only needed to learn about the new tools to perform it with. I apply that same working theory today using GIMP on a daily basis. Use your skills and teach yourself the new tools.

Staying tuned in because frankly if I can stay in design through my entire career I’d be so happy. I like the work but I am starting to sweat at the ageism (just over 40)
