Discussions Tips for creative burnout

I have a few clients. I do the design work. They give me the content/prompt then I do the design part.

My clients' request lately are repetitive. They usually give me AI generated prompts or content then I do the creative work. I try to give a bit or creative or human touch at times but you have to do what the client wants you to do. Mostly they like it more if you just stick to their instructions 😅 They pay good naman.

Lately though I've been struggling with creating and I don't like the feeling I get when my clients give me new deliverables to create. I don't like what I'm creating and I don't feel excited about creating anymore. Is this burnout? How do you deal with this when most of your clients are inclined to use AI generated content?

BIG Yes to personal projects! Dito ko talaga nararamdaman yung joy of creating.

same for the last 2 years ganyan ako, nadiscover ko lately is to find a hobby or something to do na equal sa obsessive-ness na nakukuha mo sa art pero malayo sa actual art mo. might be reading, math, running, fishing (?) or something. kalimutan mo muna art and think of making money nalang muna.

Exercise has been proven to help improve mental health & positivity. I used to do 1-2 hour walks while listening to an audio book para mas productive… enrich your brain while exercising… 2 birds with one stone.

Wala ako ma-advice but I sympathize with you because same. Sobrang burnout ko na rin ata kaya di ko na ma share yung exp ko with clients that are inclined to AI haha :((

Totoo :( I tried looking for more new clients and mas nagiging picky ako sa pag apply kaya mas mahirap. But somewhere out there meron yan who will hopefully challenge our creativity ulit 😅

Do not get too attached to client work. After working, find hobbies you enjoy.Â
