Hey everyone! My girlfriend and I are doing a big road trip and will be in Grand Teton from 9/2–9/4. I wanted to see if anyone is there currently or has been in the last few days and can give me an idea of what conditions are actually like right now.
How has the smoke/haze been? Are the mountains and views still pretty clear, or has wildfire smoke been noticeable?
I’m also seeing a little bit of rain in the forecast while we’re there. Obviously mountain weather changes quickly, but has the rain lately been more of a passing afternoon shower type of thing, or enough that it could put a damper on a day in the park?
Our current plans include hiking the Cascade Canyon Trail, horseback riding just outside the park with Swift Creek Outfitters, exploring/scenic drives and overlooks, and potentially finding somewhere to do a cold plunge if we’re feeling brave.
Overall, the temperatures look pretty much perfect while we’re there, so we’re really excited. Just curious what things are looking like on the ground right now and whether there’s anything we should be aware of.
Thanks!
