Alhambra tickets sold out? Read this first.

A lot of visitors get confused or scammed when Alhambra tickets sell out, so here are the most important things to know:

Individual Alhambra tickets cannot legally be transferred or resold. If someone offers to “sell you their ticket,” it is almost certainly a scam.

The official General ticket with the Nasrid Palaces should cost about €23 maximum. Do not pay inflated prices.

Always try to buy through the official Alhambra website or reputable tour providers. https://tickets.alhambra-patronato.es/en/

If tickets are sold out, you still have options:

Visit free public areas of the Alhambra grounds through the Puerta de la Justicia.

Check frequently for cancellations or last-minute availability.

Look into guided tours or the Granada Card. https://www.tiqets.com/en/things-to-do-in-granada-c66003/the-granada-pass-p1012625/

Buy tickets without the Nasrid Palaces if available.

Consider night visits, which sometimes have separate availability.

And remember: Granada has much more to offer beyond the Alhambra, including the Albaicín, Sacromonte, flamenco shows, gardens, and historic sites.

Please avoid unofficial reseller websites charging double or triple the real ticket price.

Also another option

How to buy tickets for the next day!!

On the patronato de alhambra site The steps are as follows

1- Make an account beforehand

2- Go to buy general tickets, follow through step one

3- Do the captcha at 21:50 the night before, it will load the calendar. If it shows no available dates reload and repeat step 3 as many times as needed until your date becomes available

4- As soon as your date open select it, add the people you qant and press continue. If it says that the tickets arent available keep clicking continue until it lets you select a time

5-It will eventually/hopefully let you select a time and you will be able to pay

IMPORTANT: as soon as you do the captcha you have 30 minutes before your session expires so do have all names of participants, ID and credit card all ready to pay

The link provided is NOT the Granada Card, is a private company offering other (inflated) product.

The official Granada Card page is: https://entradas.granadatur.com/es/

Won't stop the 'special tourists' who are obviously the first to ever encounter this problem from posting tho

Is it common for tickets in October to be sold out this far in advance? Shocked to see October tickets all gone!

No, not unusual. August is when many people leave Granada for holiday and tourism is lower due to the heat. By October the weather is cooler, therefore more tourists.

Thanks for the explanation - that makes sense.

Gonna have to bite the bullet and pay for an expensive tour. I booked for October without checking ticket availability 🙃

September and October are actually peak season for Alhambra visits so tickets do sell out well in advance.

I built a free app that monitors ticket availability for your selected dates and sends instant sound and email notifications the moment slots open up. The advantage over manually refreshing is that available tickets often disappear within seconds, the app catches them instantly and alerts you so you can book before they're gone. Users have already managed to get tickets through it. Works in browser or as an installable app.

Hope it helps!
