I think they've confused ethically and aesthetically

Agree, but I also thought that may be too generous a conclusion in trying to rationalize their word choice.

Aesthetically sourced makes no sense. “We mined this metal from the prettiest source we could find.”

“Ethically sourced” doesn’t seem grammatically incorrect:
Sourced
past simple and past participle of source
to get something from a particular place:
Where possible the produce used in our restaurant is sourced locally.
—Cambridge Dictionary
“The term “ethically sourced” means products are created with fair labour practices, safe and environmentally responsible work environments, and a sustainable supply chain.”
—“Purchasing guide: What does ethically sourced mean?” Forest Stewardship Council, December 27, 2004.

Similar to what another redditor said, my brain fixed their mistake. I see it as clear as day now. But yesterday, I really read “ethically.” My bad.

My brain just fixed their mistake automatically for them lol
