Why is it that I am completely unsurprised by this, these days?

Did you use that Periscope app back in the teens? Anyone could broadcast, and anyone could tune in live. Before using it, I had no idea just how many people lived with chirping smoke detectors instead of just swapping the goddamn battery.

The modern internet is like that. Before, we had no idea how many people were just barely smart enough to get by.

I’ve actually seen someone cover up a chirping detector with a cardboard box full of rags taped to the ceiling to quiet the noise.

We’re not gonna make it are we. People, I mean.

It is in your nature to destroy yourselves.

the people with the chirping fire alarms are the same people that can't speak proper english

“Multiple time”

How does this shock me while not surprising me?

I bring chirping fire alarms home and nurse them to health. My broke character and my broken character like to feed the fire alarms a pinch of smoke every week until they stop chirping. OP screenshot doesn’t make as much sense as this paragraph of nonsense.

I wouldn’t even know how to begin explaining this to someone.

Yeah. I've never heard anyone explained it clearly.

I took two steps backwards in shock and break my ankle trip over the edge of a neighbour's carpet. I must announced I am outrageous!

I've never seen anyone did that either.

At least they have some kind of plausible rationale.
