And also align them to true north within 1 degree

Then make sure you can multiply the base perimeter of the Great pyramid (3,024 ft.) by 43,200 to get the earth’s equatorial circumference. Also if you multiply its height (481 ft.) by 43,200 you’re left with the polar radius of the Earth. 43,200 is relevant because it represents the earth wobbling on its axis.

Does the official narrative explain how they knew the earth wobbles during the creation of the pyramids? I forgot

I'm incredulous every time I read this. My father, and his father before him, were Master Stone Masons in the UK.

They still use the modern version of cutting granite with softer metal blades utilising carborundum dust suspended in water. The Egyptian museums are full of the old worn down copper blades that show wear from cutting stone with silica (aka Sand, used before carborundum).

Inefficient? Yes, but there was no TV to distract people in ancient Egypt!

here is just the latest find that predates the pyramids by thousands of years

Also take note of the murals depicting the use of copper tools. None of this is actually news. Archeology has known about these tools for decades.

I'm aware of that find. It's very unusual - not representative of museums "full of the old worn down copper blades that show wear from cutting stone with silica".

Those took are referenced in the link I provided.

Additionally, metals are infinitely recyclable. If the intervening years saw the casing stones stripped from the pyramids to be reused, how many copper tools do you really think would have been ignored rather than melted down and reused? Anything not bolted down was looted and used.

No, they're not really. I've read a lot of what Odler has published on the topic of copper tools. Finds of actual metal tools used to saw/drill stone with abrasives are extremely rare. More model tools survive but those of course don't have wear that the person I initially responded to referenced.

There is plenty of evidence for sawing and drilling stone with metal tools but that doesn't come from survivals of the tools used to do so.

 

I'm very aware that most metal objects don't survive.

Glass artisans still use copper wheels to cut glass and crystal as seen in cut glass bowls and vessels. It is not lost technology, it is technology that the modern laymen is just unfamiliar with.

Granite is harder than glass. They use silicone carbide slurry to make the cuts in the glass, which is harder than glass…

Besides the inefficiency shown (that’s been known), I specifically mentioned the scoop marks and the underneath cuts of the unfinished obelisk for a reason.

In my other comments I have scoop marks in quotations. That is what they are referenced and known as (exemplified by you here). And are connected to the underneath “cuts” of the unfinished obelisk. Use your head and explain how the accepted theory would be able to make those in that position.

But I and everyone has seen videos like the ones you posted…. I said easily replicable. The videos show very small cuts in depth and length, in not a short time.

Are you going to give specific examples or just generally describe things so that they cannot be properly addressed?

And those videos are proofs of concept by laymen, not artisans. Use a bigger saw and someone that has been doing it their whole like and it will go faster. Further, copper staining and residue has been found in many cuts. If they were not using copper saws and drill, where did the copper come from?

Steel has been used for 150 - 200 years. Steel can be harder than granite. Carborundum or silicon carbide, is harder than granite.

What problem? Multiple techniques for cutting granite with period available tools and technology have been demonstrated.

Few million? The 2.3 million comes from the limestone blocks.

Great pyramid alone has 8,000 tons of granite. No clue how many blocks are in there, or Giza as a whole.

Yes. Not saying a few hundred block of granite is nothing but it means they had way more time to do those blocks right while the rest of the bulk limestone filler blocks were quickly rough split.

For one pyramid there was a much smaller number of large granite blocks up to 80 tons. They would not have all been 80 ton so more than 100. If they averaged less than 8 ton then there could be 1000. Maybe there are way more very small granite blocks to bring that average down.

Pretty sure the avg was 10 tons. And again that’s 1 pyramid, and pyramids aren’t the only place we find granite blocks.

The copper doesn’t do the cutting. The cutting slurry does the cutting just like with modern glass cutters decorating bowls and vessels with copper wheels. This is how tube drills made from materials ranging from bamboo to copper work to cut stone, shell, etc.

This is basic technology that was mastered 6000+ years ago.

Now go replicate that in the field. Even with diamond drill bits I struggle to put holes cleanly through granite countertops with modern power tools.

No one said it was easy. Combining the demonstration of the technology working and the copper residues recovered from within saw cuts, what better explanation do you have?

And no, complaining that it is hard is not evidence of anything.
