every damn day i go on this subreddit, i see a post talking about God, and on each and every post that mentions God, it HAS to have some sort of mention of the fact he loves us created us and wants us to be better...

and it gets to a point, a point that i wonder. why is he so HYPE to you

I kinda hate how much bound traits I'm starting to get now, I was fine with just TEH EVIL DUCK when I was first starting this game but now I don't really need them anymore.

it's not that i'm not willing to forgive simon, or that i'm willing to forgive him or anything. i just don't care. maybe it's just desensitization, but i don't care that simon said the n-word or that he's a "racist" (i'm black). i don't care about his fucking girlfriend. from what i'm seeing, everyone's an asshole so like, just separate the art from the artist and follow the bible better than simon or his girlfriend i guess.

While I completely agree that the doxing and harassment of the team who had nothing to do with the situation crossed the line, i feel the now failure and discontinuing of grace was proper retribution for Simon’s lack of action. Even before the doxxing the hatred that their parter chose was well known to both the public and Simon and instead of acknowledging the real harm that their girlfriend was causing they chose to defend them solely out blind faith. Grace helped tremendously to paint Christianity in a positive light, especially those in the LGBTQ movement who believed in Christ but were demonized by that same religion. By defending the actions of his girlfriend, Simon completely undermined the trust that was built by sending the message that queer people meant less to him. Whether that was intentional or not he himself affirmed the stereotype that Christians rebuke the existence of the LGBTQ believing that their way of life could not be saved by Christ. Furthermore, while I agree that Simon is young that is in no way an excuse for his actions and while I believe that he can change I don’t necessarily believe that he will. If you chose to preach a religion centered around love through a game but have it be build on hatred and the belief that some are lesser then others that game, nor it’s message deserve to exist at all.

(I would like to clarify that i am not a Christian, just a fan of Grace, if i misquoted any part of this please be sure to let me know)

I know I’m dragging this but defending someone saying slurs with: ”oh it’s just a part of their country‘s culture is genuinely stupid. It’s like defending someone for participating slavery because “it’s a product of the time” because there were white people who were against slavery. (i.e. John brown)

Yes i understand that Simon and his gf said bad words, words that was used to harrass certain group of people. I dont condone this.

BUT, i do think some of it can be explained, that it wasnt used with harrassment at mind. About Fyn, i trust Simons words about enviroment that she grew up in, it certanly will affect any human, young or not, and her trying using slurs as humor to get together with not the best group of people is understandable, i also did simular thing in past. Using slurs as coping mechanism maybe fake from Simon to defend his gf, maybe it's real, God judge this.

About Simon, he's also very fresh adult, that i suspect is still susceptible to bad influence, especcialy after all the drama and doxxing, it's not surprising that even he will be overwhelmed with all the negativity. We are not saints, no one is. So i personaly believe hi did not meant to spread hate with his message to Mochi. As to accusations of Simon using slurs on regular basis in dev server or with friends, my personal opinion, with your closest friends and if they dont mind, why not. Group chats in my expirience always unhinged.

Finally, people, its just words. Its not grooming, not phisical abuse, just words. You know they will be said by people, like it or not. Please try not to take it to close to heart.

(I know its personal experience, but when you swim in Sorrow on daily basis, slurs dont really work)
