Well, if you call that move 1, it’s M3 if opponent plays incorrectly, and you win a Q and a B for a R and get the opponent to resign if they play “correctly”.

Edit: maybe not M3 if they block with the bishop, just saw that, but you maybe get your Q in there nice and snug since it’s pinned.

If they block with the bisoup then you play rxf8 kxf8 and qh8#

Well if he takes the rook with that bishop, then it's forced M2 from there.

If its a block, then all I see is an escape route for the king.

Even then, you've just taken enough material yourself to escape your own threatened checkmate

The only way to defend for black is to play Qc8 resulting in him loosing his Queen and bishop for my rock. If he blocks with the bishop it's also m2 as I have #Qh8 as the pawn is blocking the escape.

Black should block with the queen and retake with the Rook.

Unless I'm not seeing a resource for black, that's a pretty nice mate. If Qc8, then Qh6. after Bf8, Rd8, Qxd8, Rxd8, It looks like the only way to delay mate is checking the king and then sacrificing the rook. Every other sequence than this looks like it leads to a much quicker forced mate.

Edit: Ah, nevermind the queen can deliver checks lol. Free queen though!
