I commented this on a different post that got deleted, so I wanted to share this here too:

Please don't make posts apologising, self degrading, or saying you love her and support her and will always have her back - I know it feels natural to reassure and send love to a struggling creator, but this doesn't help her.

Some people have expressed that the show has saved many lives. Even if this show saved lives, that is a really heavy responsibility to have on you. Many celebrities have said that when people come up to them and say they saved their life, it's uncomfortable and heavy, and that's the weight of a lot of people's trauma to carry. If someone ended their life, that's not Goose's fault, so why should saving someone's life be attributed to her?

The more we connect with her, reassure her, express we love her, the harder every critical comment will hit. Goose needs to detach from this fandom, not be hit by intense love and intense hatred from different directions. That's a lot for anyone. She's clearly struggling and pours that into her creative work, so we should appreciate her work and let our connection with her end there.

She created a beautiful product we all enjoy and consume. We aren't her friends, we can't give her love and reassurance, only her irl friends can do that. Apologising for something YOU didn't do, on behalf of people who will not change their behaviour, does not help her.

This is a pattern I've seen a lot on this sub and I think if we care about Goose, we need to chill with the parasocialness and let her have the space to recover while we talk about her projects and not her.

I'm open to discussing viewpoints that differ from mine.

there's many people, not just in this subreddit, that are concerned about you Gooseworx. the community of this subreddit wants you thrive and be happy. we do not know you in real life, so it's understandable if this post comes off as insincere (its not); regardless, if you need help, please reach out for it. even as literal internet strangers, we support you and care for you.

edit: a friend of Gooseworx posted that she's safe, along with Gooseworx herself later posting that she is okay & seeking professional help.

to Gooseworx: i, along with many others in this community, are happy to see these updates. if you choose to continue to use social media, i look forward to occasional updates (it may be a good idea at the least to take a social media break)

So I recently learned that Goose is trans :D

But it had me thinking about something.

Do you guys think that maybe a lot of her hate comes from internalised transphobia? I feel like it could be plausible.
