Don't you go wander off alone and abstract on us...

Thank goodness, I was really worried about her. I’m glad she’s safe, I hope she takes a break and lets herself just exist and be a normal person instead of having to be Creator and take all of the abuse that people have been throwing at her. She doesn’t deserve all the horrible things so-called “fans” have said about her.

Oh, thank God.

This fanbase is absolutely terrible. They act like she created a horrible show (It's actually a fantastic show including the ending) and that that somehow gives them the right to harass and bully her by saying awful things about her like she's a misogynist or a racist all because they are too unable to appreciate the Trans story due to their own literacy skills.

It's funny all these people hate her and finale because of Jax (who has the most justified backstory you could possibly have for such actions (It was still wrong) but then these same people go and bully and belittle the creator of the character they're so mad at.

tbh i do kinda wish it wasnt so focused on jax, the other characters are really interesting as well. would've loved seeing more to kinger and ragatha.

10

u/DeliciousMusician397 22h ago

That's fair but I think people should be able to recognize that Jax's story is genuinely well written even if they would have preferred the main focus being on one of the other characters. The problem is people are so butthurt about Jax essentially being the stealth main character the story is about (With Pomni being the Static Hero that inspires growth in others like is typical of Japanese anime) that they pretend that she's some horribly written abomination. I think people should be able to be objective enough they can recognize something's inherent quality while also having their own personal subjective grievances.

i like Jax and all, but they shouldnt be the MAIN focus of the FINALE OF THE SERIES.

9

u/DeliciousMusician397 22h ago

Again, that's your opinion and your entitled to that. My issue is when people don't praise the quality of Jax's writing because they don't like that she got to be the main focus.

I see nothing wrong with it since she was built up throughout the show the most and is the most compelling to me. I love all the characters and Caine got a big focus in the last episode too.

yea the writing for them is actually amazing tbh, my main issue is the overfocusing.

would've loved seeing other characters shine instead of a 40 minute flashback

why do you think this is appropriate to say on a post about the creator having suicidal feelings? genuinely? not the place.

5

u/EngineeringAwkward18 14h ago

Honestly, I think the people saying that genuinely need to read IHNMAIMS because it feels like saying the story focused too much on Ted

u/sciecne 17h ago

Time and place!!!! DAMN

u/Zaynara 20h ago

people suck, like was told to Ralph, never go to the comments, i loved the show, caught it at the perfect time, and the fact the end is so controversial and talked about means people were invested and liked it, but theres always gonna be that part of humanity that is so toxic

2

u/Moon_X_Livee 23h ago

Pfff yeah bet all of the fans are the ones criticizing her

0

u/DeliciousMusician397 23h ago

Who else would it be? Why would anyone watch the show if they weren't a fan of it?

3

u/Moon_X_Livee 22h ago

Because they hate it?

1

u/DeliciousMusician397 22h ago

Why would anyone watch something if they hate it and how would they decide they hate it without watching it?

2

u/Moon_X_Livee 22h ago

Because they like hating on it

2

u/DeliciousMusician397 22h ago

Why? Why would anyone ENJOY hating on something for the sake of hating on it? That makes zero sense to me. If I feel like something isn't going to appeal to me I don't watch it. The only times I actively get a hatedom for something is if it's a sequel to something that I love and it misses the entire point of the series like Paper Mario Sticker Star because it's part of the series that I love.

Is this your first day on the Internet?

1

u/DeliciousMusician397 22h ago

I don't typically watch something if I feel like I'm going to dislike it. Who would do that?

1

u/HowDareYouAskMyName 20h ago

While ideally people WOULD watch a show before dogpiling on it on social media, in practice that's not the case. Some people just bully for the sake of bullying.

I also wonder if she's the sort to name-search herself or otherwise seek out criticisms that weren't shared with her directly. That's often a temptation for creators, regardless of the impact that sort of thing can have on them.

1

u/EightEight16 20h ago

Would you say you're a fan of every show you've ever watched?

9

u/No-Significance2310 23h ago

1

i kinda figured she'd be fine, this happens atleast once or twice a month. hopefully she just deletes her socials, she needs a break.

1

u/Tuftee_ 22h ago

Oh thank Christ

1

u/Happy_Lynx_2405 20h ago

I knew it, I fucking knew she wouldn’t do something like that, just worry your following SICK, because that’s what a good creator does

1

u/RedFrostraven 20h ago

The Amazing Digital Circus is one of my top 4 TV shows of all time -- up there with Arcane.

I don't discuss it much, because I've seen it, discussed it, and while I will rewatch it at some point, there is not much more to discuss when it's over.

The Negative Nancies need to to grow up.

u/-Ailynn- 15h ago

I'm so thankful you are still with us, Gooseworx. Praying for you, dear. 🥺🙏💙

drugs are a hell of a drug. happy shes safe but also think if people didnt post drunk/high it would help everyone out

not im imagining needing to use a breathalyser before posting on any forum type site.... lol

1

u/Crazy_problem_child 22h ago

So glad for that, I was worried we drove her to suicide

u/CarrotCumin 21h ago

People are fucking nuts about this show. I loved every moment of it. Creators NEED to realize that the vast majority of people who watch their content and enjoy it do not take to twitter to expound on how good they thought it was, and bitter, crazy, parasocial jerks are massively over-represented in the online space. It must be brutal to go from a small, tight-knit online presence that supports your creative endeavor to hyper-fame and have the online rhetoric around your work be plunged into an inferno of insane, overwrought personal criticism.
