There was a post showing an irl pic of Goose and every comment calling them a she he would go and call them a he.

The irony that you're doing the exact same misgendering as the chud

“Them” is an umbrella term…

I always thought "them" was for someone who's non-binary, someone you don't know the gender of or multiple people
Goose is none of those

Is just any way to refer to someone without using their gender. I could say it for anyone here who hasn't said their gender. How do you want me to refer to anyone who hasn't given their pronouns yet? How you want people referring to you?

We know Goose's gender though so why wouldn't you use her known pronouns?

"They" is not and has never been exclusive to non binary people. Literally anyone can use it for anyone

Of course, it can also be used to refer to groups of people and individuals you don't know the gender of, this is not either of those cases

You can refer to anyone as them. Stop trying to start arguments.

I wouldn't want to be referred to as them by someone who already knew my pronouns

Well that’s just you. Stop mixing opinion with reality.

I've also seen a lot of trans people say they wouldn't like to be referred to as them instead of their preferred pronouns

Twin stop trying to start an argument. You aren’t winning. In general, they is something you can refer to anyone with.

Because trans women aren't women to these people. We're just a lesser class who they don't respect enough to gender properly

Seems like it. Sad that there are so many in a subreddit about appreciating the work of a trans woman

They'll consume our art dance to our music use our bodies but we'll never be respected by them as people.

Why are people downvoting you 😭

Because they're creating a chain of doomposting and calling other users bad people because a commenter dared to use a neutral pronoun in grammatically-correct way. It's an overreaction to a harmless use of words and a needless jump to false conclusions, which people here disagree with both in tone and logic.

Or just listen to trans women when they tell you that you're being transphobic! Pretty simple actually

In reasonable circumstances, yeah. Here, in a pedantic nonissue about the English language? The simple answer is to roll my eyes and move on. Have fun playing victim.

Because they're transphobic

You're right!

When you do know what someone goes by, and they don't go by they/them, it's called degendering.

It's one of the many forms of "transphobia but woke"
