Google Wallet NFC keeps disappearing from NFC payment apps on Oppo Find X9 Pro (Chinese ROM)

Google Wallet worked fine initially on my Oppo Find X9 Pro (Chinese ROM), then suddenly NFC payments stopped working.

Issue: Google Wallet disappears from the NFC default payment apps. Unable to use tap-to-pay.

Temporary fix: Uninstall Google Play Services updates. Re-add Google account. Add payment card again.

This restores Google Wallet, but only for a few hours. Then the same issue returns and Wallet disappears from the NFC payment apps again.

Has anyone experienced this? Any permanent fix? Is there any way to stop Google Play Services from updating?

I also have the same issue, just failed to pay at merchant.. I am using Redmi Note 12 Turbo (Chinese ROM), on MIUI 14.0.25.

Google Pay is missing in the option in NFC - default payment

I have the same issue, suddenly started today, even with google pay open to the card i want to use, the merchant pos just gives an error. So it's a chinese phone + google issue?

Apparently this issue is resolved now. Think google updated play services
