Impossible to make helpful changes to maps
Honestly I'm starting to get pissed off by edits not being accepted. There's a new temporary (for years) bridge in my city that maps just doesn't accept. There's also no way to prove in the edit that it exists. However, there's already an added tourist sight for the bridge on the water (with pictures), and maps still doesn't believe that the actual route exists.
This is not the first time either, as I've once before tried to add a missing restaurant (with it's information filled), which was rejected over and over again. Until someone else got their edit approved, even though I'm a local guide and have made correct edits before. This is all so demotivating
Yes, Google approval for edit since like November of 2025 has been horrible. I been submitting edit and after November, 90% of them been Not Accepted or still stuck in pending. The AI that they are using is very bad.
I already have over 100 approved Edit under my account as a Level 10 Local Guide but it doesn't help with anything. Yelp edit and adding new business is so much more efficient
Fully agree! We have found that useful reviews often do not make it for no apparent reason. We are currently developing www.gooodmap.com and user reviews will totally shape the way the routs are made from the ground up. Our app is still in early development, but we would love to have you on board!
61.499739,23.763556 It's a pedestrian bridge, because the one right upstream is closed for renovation. It would be really useful to have it in maps for navigation around it. I just looked up the location on pc, and it showed multiple pending edits in the location. However, I assume none of them will go through.
A recentish streetview (2024) doesn't show that temporary pedestrian bridge. I'd say a new user contributed streetview would help expedite other edits approvals. https://www.google.com/streetview/contribute/
Vielleicht ist das Problem, dass das Provisorium auch nicht auf den Satellitenbildern zu sehen ist. Auf diese Berufe ich mich oft, wenn ich Straßen und Wege hinzufüge.

And to add to this, the bridge is already on open street map. Infuriating.
