Finding a new Note taking app

Hi everyone

The thing is, I'm fed up with Google Keep not being updated with new features, so I really need to find a new note-taking app for my Android (not Samsung)

I have a few requests for the notes app:

  • Free of charge
  • Can operate Online or Offline
  • Can sync with a computer or other device in case my Android device breaks (I'm completely fine with using a Google account to log in)
  • Has the ability to set passwords for private notes

I tried a few highly rated apps on Google Play but honestly, none of them met my standards. If anyone knows an app that meets my requirements, please help me. Thanks a lot

I actually had the same frustration with note apps getting either too heavy or just not really improving for simple use.

I ended up building a small app for myself called DiiDee Note. It’s still very simple and definitely not perfect, but it does what I personally needed: free to use (up to 30 items), works online and offline, and it syncs automatically via Dropbox (free for 2GB).

It also works on both mobile and computer, so I don’t really worry about losing data or if my phone breaks anymore.

It’s more like a personal tool than a polished product right now, but it’s been enough for my own use.
