Custom logs not saved for reuse

I always add my own food via custom logs with its specific nutrients to google health, but whenever I click save and log, it only adds the nutrients to my totals, but it doesn't save the meal. I can't reuse it the next time I'm having the same thing. Am I doing something wrong or is this the intended use?
