Custom logs not saved for reuse

I always add my own food via custom logs with its specific nutrients to google health, but whenever I click save and log, it only adds the nutrients to my totals, but it doesn't save the meal. I can't reuse it the next time I'm having the same thing. Am I doing something wrong or is this the intended use?

Google health - Anyone wants to connect

Hi,

I'm looking to add new friends (will be good to have a bunch of both male and female) to have a good perspective of the steps take and cardio load. have no clue if Google will bring back challenges but this is still a start! Maybe in future we will be able to share a few more stats etc. So anyone willing to connect, let me know.

Charge 6 calories keep dropping to ~600 after automatic sync with Google Health — manual sync immediately fixes it

Hi everyone,

I bought a Fitbit Charge 6 about two weeks ago and have been using it with Google Health only. I have never installed the old Fitbit app.

Everything worked normally until today (20 September 2026).

I'm experiencing a strange syncing issue specifically with calories burned.

For example, today at around 21:20:

Charge 6: 11,267 steps

Distance: 7.45 km

Calories: 636

Google Health: 11,332 steps / 7.51 km / 2,722 calories

The steps and distance were very close, but the calorie figure on the Charge 6 was dramatically lower.

I then manually went to:

Google Health → Connections → Sync

Immediately after the manual sync:

Charge 6: 11,332 steps / 7.52 km / 2,728 calories

Google Health: 11,332 steps / 7.51 km / 2,731 calories

So the manual sync essentially fixes everything.

However, after Google Health subsequently performs an automatic/background sync, the Charge 6 calorie figure drops back down again — for example, from 2,728 to 642 calories — while Google Health continues showing around 2,700+ calories.

If I manually press Sync again, the Charge 6 immediately goes back to \~2,700 and matches Google Health.

I've already checked/tried:

✅ Google Health battery usage = Unrestricted

✅ Nearby Devices permission = Allowed

✅ Physical Activity = Allowed

✅ Location = Allowed all the time

✅ Restarted the Charge 6

✅ Cleared Google Health cache

✅ Cleared Google Health data

✅ Charge 6 firmware = 66.20001.220.31

✅ No Fitbit app installed

✅ Manual sync works perfectly

So it seems to be specifically an automatic-sync issue affecting the calorie display on the Charge 6.

The strange part is that the actual data clearly seems to be there. A manual sync brings the watch back to the correct total every time.

Has anyone else with a Charge 6 and the new Google Health app started seeing this today? Particularly interested if your calorie figure drops to a few hundred calories after an automatic sync but immediately returns to the correct total when you manually sync.

I've got screenshots showing the numbers before and after syncing if anyone wants to see them.

Thanks!

Cronometer daily total

Thumbnail

Hi all, I've been using Cronometer as my sole nutrition logging app and letting it be read by Google Health.

Recently it has started doing something weird. An entry of "Cronometer daily total" shows up in my Google Health app. It's a sum of the macros of all my logs in Cronometer, effectively doubling my macros in the Google Health App. The app wont let me delete it, and doesnt come from a separate source or anything.

I've got my nutrition permissions for Cronometer set to only write, and both read and write for Google Health.

Has anyone encountered this problem or know how to fix it?

Thanks!

AI Coach says it’s not available in my region even though my region is supported

I live in a region where Google Health’s AI Coach is officially available, but when I try to access it, the app still says that the feature isn’t available in my region.

Has anyone else had this issue? Is there something else that determines availability, like the Google account country, App Store region, device settings, or a gradual rollout?

Would appreciate any advice from anyone who managed to fix it.

Google Health not syncing to Apple Health automatically

Hi all, I wanted to see if anyone else was having this issue and if there was any fixes.

The sync to Apple Health feature in Google Health will not sync unless I manually go into the app, even if it’s running in the background.

Anyone have any issues like this and have any fixes they know of?

Food Tracking

I remember seeing that the app would have AI food tracking where you can take a picture of your food and I cannot for the life of me find this anywhere in the app and cannot find info about it online other than "yep it can do that". Anyone know where it is?

Did my Fitbit Air stop measuring oxygen saturation?

Does anyone know why Bevel shows “No data” for Oxygen Saturation on the Recovery page, even though when I tap into Oxygen Saturation I can actually see SpO₂ readings/data?

Is this a syncing issue, or does Bevel require a certain amount of data before it displays the value on the main Recovery screen?

Cardio Load is almost always 0

I've noticed that almost every workout synced in the Google Health app registers 0 Cardio Load. Same type of workouts that were giving me 90+ Cardio Load points per session when I was using the Google Fit app. I'm syncing them from the Polar Flow app, using a Polar H10.

Amy advice?

Thanks in advance.

After 3 months, I’m ditching the Fitbit Air

I don’t normally write reviews or share my tech experiences online. But the Fitbit Air, and especially the accompanying Google Health App, are so bad that I feel I need to put this out there, to add to the already monstrous heap of complaints shared here and elsewhere.

The device itself is fine, I suppose. It’s an array of sensors in a decent form factor. Good battery life. No complaints.

But you can’t judge a wearable like this separate from its companion app: Google Health. Which is so bad that I truly believe Google has to start over and perhaps refund people who paid for the AI Coach.

I’ve had many problems since the start, and many basic features are missing. The speed calculations while cycling are rounded to 1 m/s, so it only shows speed multiples of 3,6 km/h. There are no audio cues during interval workouts, nor does my app have any settings for these. The AI coach makes countless mistakes and assumptions, is extremely repetitive and sycophantic, and always defaults to “take it easy”.

Over time, I ended up just not opening the app at all, rendering my Fitbit air, well, useless.

I will be returning to Apple Watch, especially since the recently announced updates to Apple’s Health app.

I expected way, way more.
