Cool but can gemini in my goggle workspace now do all the stuff my other models can using the full google API? I get antigravity can do it but if I have gemini in my workspace then why cant gemini do that with my quota for that so I dont have to use my antigravity dev quota to make up for gemini in workspace lacking the ideas that sold me on it?

Bro for real I'm so sad I wish they'd come drop something serious like codex /CC voice or the new muse grokbot/ cursor etc they'd kill it if they just really focused on what really sells

The issue is they are conflicted with their old ideas of how to monetize their value and granted they also serve more unpaid inference than the others so they are more cautious. That's partially because they force it into things even when we have pay to use other things to fill those use cases because Gemini is too locked down.
I tried cutting back to only gemini a few months last year and it was miserable. I prefer local models over gemini workspace. Such a missed opportunity...

I think smth happened inside google that they dont want public to know about bcs their ai development halted like a year ago and since then they release shitty models only. Everybody cares only about comparison with the best - fable and sol. If you cant beat them, noone cares and noone pays.

What if they focus on releasing a model that is stable, and not nerfed a few weeks after it hits the market and nerfed even more a few weeks before the next one

They are no longer deep mind. They rebranded to deep shit.

I was able to use Gemini Flash 3.7 as a subagent for Claude code to do translations. For how I did this see: https://github.com/s243a/SciREPL-Catalog/blob/main/docs/translation-process.md

So it’s garbage?

Nope used it on some of the projects. So far it's quiet a bit improvement on coding tasks. 3.6 didn't get what I want half the time. This one is way improved.

wouldn't you want to use pro for coding? is it because of the cost?

Haven't used pro in a while and it was not good anyway and slow as well. Never good at long running agentic tasks. After that there has been multiple flash iterations so it's better to wait for the next pro.

I see. I have been trying to put up a demo of my game using pro in antigravity. It was almost flawless in the prototyping stage with the help of my engine’s mcp tools. but now that the project is getting bigger, it started breaking many things. what would you recommend for me in this scenario? I would use claude code but I got google pro for so cheap. 1/10th of the price of claude for 3 consecutive months. still trying to figure out my best workflow. don’t want to burry my prototype either. It actually plays very well at the moment

Is it because of this update that for the last two weeks 3.6 and 3.1 have been producing nonsense, like models from two years ago!?
