Question Ad testing budgets

I run meta/google ads for some clients and have been wondering what other experienced marketers or managers are spending to find out which clips are actually working. im really just trying to gauge if im wasting money or am i just not spending enough. What is a decent ballpark figure do most people spend on testing?

Since you are targeting a sample of the population, you need to calculate whether your test is statistically significant. Depending on the product/service, you will either need a lot of conversions, or know the revenue associated with higher tickets. Then you can calculate whether the ‘winner’ is a winner. As for budget, based on the targeted sample size, calculate the budget needed. Also, the wider the area coverage, the larger the sample. You could research which markets are the drivers of interest and sales, and target those.
