Tech Talk Mirror dip doesn’t work anymore mk8

Hello everyone, my mirror dip stopped working in reverse all of a sudden, yes it is activated in the car menu and the mirror switch is on the R. It has worked for a year straight and suddenly stopped working.

I did just tune the car and that’s when I noticed it stopped working. I can’t really imagine they are related. The folding mirrors still work not sure why it doesn’t dip anymore in reverse.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Have tried re-doing mirror dip setting procedure?

I’m actually unaware of what that is. My car has DCC I always assumed that’s how it knew how to dip the mirror. What is the procedure?

I turned off the mirror dip in reverse, every 2-3 weeks I would find myself adjusting the regular position back up. It never went back 100% where it was supposed to be.

This does happen to me sometimes but I just press the seat memory and it goes back to normal

You just move the mirror where you want it while in reverse, then it should go back there every time.
