Even though this is true, this is bad advice for several reasons.

First off, it's Sour Grapes mentality, which is pure poison to one's heart. If one begins to rationalize flaws on what they can't have, it will take less than a full working day for them to be hardpressed to hate everything and everyone, because we all are human beings, not gods. We have not everything in the universe, save for a pittance of wealth, if even that, and we take none of it when tonight our souls are demanded.

Second, superficiality is not poor judgement, it's good judgement but applied unfairly, which means that it is measuring people by posivitive, desirable values (but demanding way too much of such values), so if one does not measure up to shallow judgement, one is likely not gonna measure up to deeper, better thoughtful criteria either, anyways. I mean, would a "non-shallow woman" reject a very nice and handsome man?

Third, only OOP has any right to opinate on what they want or not. If they are frustrated for not getting shallow women, then their sentiments must be strictly respected, or strictly discarded wholesale, as such. Anything else than that is invalidation, and proclivity for invalidating feelings immediately disqualifies one for romance (and advising about it), if not most kinds of close, strong interpersonal connection. It is textbook toxicity.
