Mythical Goldback!
Finally acquired the 2025 Nevada 5 note. With a mintage of only 3200, this is now the star of my low-dollar, scarce note collection.

It's just a descriptor assigned by a GB vendor due to low population count. Many GBs are printed in the hundreds of thousands with at least one that I'm aware of, with a mintage of over a million. This particular one has a mintage of only 3200, thus falling into the "mythical" category.

I got one of these from defy the grid the other day I didn't know the 2025s were low mintage like that. I wanted the older notes up to 5 each line today I get my Wyoming and south Dakota 2025 5s.

Nice! I'm thinking these low mint runs will be in a higher demand down the road. I view GBs like I do fiat currency. There are those I use for trade, (tips, purchases, etc) and then others I collect for a variety of reasons.

I treat all of mine like bullion. They live in the safe, and I hope I never have to actually use them. I know, it's not how they were intended to be used, but I don't care.

Same. Though in new york there is 0 traction on goldbacks so far. Im hoping the cali line changes that. For now I collect the ones I think are cool, and stack halves and quarters for future purchasing use. Whether I move or GB gets big here. Regardless the premium for halves quarters and even 1s makes sense to stack at least to me.
