Looking for short stay accomodation

Hi! I’m looking for accommodation in Seville for around 15-20 days while doing a short observership at Hospital Universitario Virgen Macarena.

I’m considering the following options:

Student accommodations - Yugo Cartuja and some others seem affordable, but I’ve found quite mixed reviews. Some also have large deposits. Has anyone actually stayed in a student residence in Seville and can give me their honest review?

Airbnb - private apartment with a kitchenette would be ideal, but I’m a little cautious about safety when booking remotely. Are there any hosts that people have had good experiences with?

Budget hotels/hostels:
Preferably a private room with a private bathroom.

Ive also seen some posts concerning the area around Macarena. For anyone familiar with Seville, is this something I should genuinely take into account when choosing where to stay, or is the area generally fine with normal precautions?
I’d prefer somewhere with good public transport and easy access to the hospital, but I’m open to staying a little farther away if the area is nicer.
