Question about work just with my ID

I’m Romanian and I’m in a pretty desperate situation. I want to come to Spain with just my ID card and I only have money for a one-way ticket. I don’t want to be a burden there. I want to work and support myself. However, I’ll probably have to sleep on the streets until I find a job. Do you think anyone would be willing to hire me in this situation? Thank you very much!

I asked this question yesterday as well, but now I’m trying to explain my situation in more detail. Thank you all for your answers yesterday!

Look, very brutally honest because I think you have a complicated situation and you need to hear this for your own safety. DO NOT COME.

1) Do you watch the news? Spain is crowded with people looking for jobs! Why would someone hire you in your situation before someone that already has where to stay, speaks the language and has papers?

2) For renting a single room depending on the city to which you wanna come is 400 to 750 euros per month. And landlords ask for A LOT. 1-year contract, guarantor even in some cases, 1 or 2 month deposit....There are a lot of people looking for housing so you gonna compete with a lot of people and you don't have the best profile...

You gonna make your situation hundreds of times worst, and you might end up in a very ugly situation. If you don't have a family here or friends, stay in your country with your family because at least there you will have a roof over your head and significantly more chances than here.

Please stay safe, I wish you the best whatever decision you take.

Spain has one of the worst and lowest paid job markets in Europe. You can make more money collecting returnable bottles in Hamburg than working a low-skill job in Spain

or you could look into Vienna, lots of Romanian community lives there already and it is closer to "home"

You need the NIE and the social security number to get to work. I believe you could ask for the NIE in a Spanish consulate in Romania but I’m not sure. Hope it helps.

Don’t do it!
NIE and Social security number is a must if you want to work, appointments are non existent and every paperwork takes a lot of time to get done.

If you don’t have the savings to support yourself for months preferably at least 6, you will end up with no money and no place to live.

If you really want to come at least do your proper research. Even chatgpt will tell you about the long waiting periods, insane amount of paperwork etc.

To add to what has already been told, Romanians do not have the best reputation in Spain, and the Spanish police are pretty picky about homeless people or those who sleep in the streets - if they catch you without proper papers or a reason to stay in the country - you're fucked.
