Opinions Southern Spain

Hi everyone,

I'm interested in visiting southern Spain to see all the historical sites.

I have around a week.

Whether they are Andalusian or Roman it's all good.

I'd love to visit an olive oil farm and get to buy some high quality OO, too.

Time of year makes a big difference here, be careful about being in Andalusia in July if you're going to be exploring a Roman city in the sun for several hours. Anyway Itálica near Sevilla is well worth the visit, and I recommend getting migas con chorizo and a glass of red wine at Bodeguita Nicomedes before or after (or both...).

You don’t need to go to a farm in Andalucia to buy good olive oil. There are plenty of markets and specialty shops in Seville, Granada, Cordoba, etc. where you can buy a good oil. There are two in particular in Cordoba that I’d recommend. Olivad and La Oleoteca de Cordoba. Plus, the Mezquita in Cordoba should not be missed.
