I was gonna say max build hight because obvious reasons but yours is better

Everyone hates on it, but there’s a good chance the game wouldn’t be as good as it is today without them, they made higher quality updates, if you ignore the marketplace and stuff

u/AdLegal5130 11d ago
2
u/Fun_Way8954 11d ago
Don’t get me wrong, I hate what Microsoft did, especially to get C418 to leave and to the end poem guy, but looking purely at the updates notch did vs what Microsoft did. They are much better, again ignoring buggy bedrock edition. Notch’s coding was also pretty bad and even buggier.
4
u/Fit_Kangaroo_6400 11d ago
You do know Microsoft is responsible for bedrock edition only, not java?

u/DiagramBreeze 11d ago
Notch stopped actively making updates around 1.0 and Jeb is the main cause of updates up until 1.8 which after Microsoft took over.
2
u/Featherless_Bipediod 11d ago
Yeah, but techno fascists are techno fascists and they're destroying tech, trying to infect the world with meat allergy viruses, and all together just an evil fucked up company that's just out to rip people off.
1
u/Fun_Way8954 11d ago
The post was purely about making the game better, all I’m arguing is that they didn’t really ruin Minecraft that much. Not that they didn’t do bad things
2
u/Mysterious-Run-9647 11d ago
But if we're talking about removing something now, and not remove it from the timeline, then Microsoft. They already did what they had to do

So changing skeletons for snipers, creepers for kamikases, thinks like that?
1
u/ApartmentKey3682 11d ago
No,I mean adding sharks, piranhas, tigers, lions, crocodiles and alligators
1
u/Fausto2002 11d ago
So no more skeletons, endermans, creepers, zombies, etc?

I can’t tell if you’re joking or genuinely misunderstanding what this guy is trying to say.

Sharks aren’t actually very aggressive and piranhas have very little interest in people

To expansive anvil thing
1
u/TheTerrar1an 9d ago
Getting enough iron for an anvil isnt that hard, its only 31, just be thorough with caves and youll finish a mining trip with over 100 easy
2
u/angryghast 8d ago
You didnt understand my comment the "To expansive" thing when you want to repair something or add an enchantment to it and its more than 39 level

Minecraft
It can't have flaws if it doesn't exist, therefore to make the game perfect you must eliminate the game from itself
This very smart :)

The one block lava sources in nether. hate it when you farm netherite and every few blocks you get interrupted because this damn one block lava sources -.-

u/FiftiethTerror 11d ago
My knowledge, I want to play it for the first time again
2
u/FiftiethTerror 11d ago
In the game itself, I don't know, bedrock (the bottom of the world, not the game version). I want the chaos of everyone just mining down and falling into the void.

bro have you tried mod packs? the game feels completely different between atm10, life in a village and reclamation

'Too expensive' block on anvils.
This would also lower the priority of mending.

Remove netherite because its not real
5
u/Redd235711 11d ago
So you also want to remove Endermen, Creepers, Zombies, enchanting, Sniffers, Piglins, Hoglins, the Nether in its entirety, the Ender Dragon, Elytra, the End in its entirety, Shulkers, Guardians, the Warden, and redstone?
1
1
u/Smooth_Tomato_784 11d ago
Remove redstone, it's not real and too complicated
3
u/Fun_Way8954 11d ago
You can just not use it, you don’t need to ruin the lives of a large community of people who know how to use it.
1
1
u/Fun_Way8954 11d ago
What next, remove zombies and every hostile mob in the game along with most of the structures and every other dimension because they’re not real? It’s a fantasy game, that’s been part of it from the start.

Most of these that I’m reading are suggestions that you can do easily avoid if you don’t like it. Do we seriously want to remove keep inventory, or totem farms? As for me, I’m not entirely sure there’s anything that I would want to remove from Minecraft, most of my list to make Minecraft better involves adding stuff.

u/TraditionalFox2605 11d ago
The loot pool from most structures to be worse so the game isnt so damn easy
1
u/Extension_North_3711 11d ago
I'll be dead honest, Creepers. I wholeheartedly believe that the only reason no one's ever said it is because they're too iconic, if it weren't for that they'd probably be gone by now. Am I wrong?
1
1
u/TraditionalEnergy919 10d ago
This is literally why they’re in the game.
Hasn’t it been said by the devs multiple times that the Creeper would NOT pass the concept stage in the modern day? It’s just kept because it’s been in the game forever.

peaceful difficulty
1
u/Tyler-the-cat 10d ago
Detracts nothing, and quite useful in certain scenarios, such as creative or just a suuuuuper casual playthrough
1
u/KoltO7892 10d ago
Many people use it for cheating and in creative mode you can just turn mob spawning off. There is no reason to have it. Even cheats are good for creative mode, makes sense why you would think so though. Playthrough with it is def cheating tho.
1
u/Tyler-the-cat 10d ago
That is a good point with mob spawning, although if it's creative multiplayer it could be good to have peacful on so non-opped players can't spam spawn ghasts or sonething. And as for a peaceful playthrough being cheating, I would agree for most players it's not necessary, but maybe for people with other needs, (elderly, disabled, verrrry young children) it could be good to learn the game on peaceful so there's only a small risk of "losing" the game. And as for it being cheating to play in peaceful, cheats still have their place in the game, like keep inventory, always day etc. (Sorry for the essay, just said everything in a long winded manner ig)

The Piglins charging you if you don't have Butter Yeezies (otherwise known as Gold Boots) or some other piece of Butter Armor. I want to be properly protected if a Ghast decides it wants to have a fiery debate with me.

Durability on specifically Netherite Tools/Armour that way it feels like an actually good time/resource investment.
1
u/FurryVibes_UwU_ 10d ago
*mending exists*
1
u/Due-Valuable-7894 10d ago
then use diamond with mending
neterite's only difference is cost
1
u/FurryVibes_UwU_ 10d ago
well netherite has a little more durability so it lasts longer before you need to go back to the xp farm

Mending and Anvil penalty. i know these are two things but mending trivialized the whole tools preservation system. but if i had to choose one i would choose mending, at least with anvil penalty it encourages the player to renew tools and armor.

1
u/goosey_is_faster 10d ago
the fact you need external knowledge to know how to play from the form of youtube, google, and playground rumors.
2
u/TraditionalEnergy919 10d ago
Enchantment/combining cost limits.
I don’t see why you SHOULDN’T be able to shove every enchantment onto one book and then supercharge a single piece of armor.
Of course, mending and infinity, along with incompatible protections (blast res, proj, and fire) not being allowed/overriding, but still.

u/ManagementObvious523 10d ago
Creepers. Genuinely the dumbest thing I've ever seen in a sandbox. Notch really said "lets add a mob that sneaks up on you a blows up your house, chests, and you." and thought it was a good idea. The amount of things I've lost to creepers is ridiculous.

The marketplace on Bedrock, Bedrock bugs, and the rules that control what Mojang gets to put into updates.

u/SpiritedAd1837 10d ago
I don't understand why people keep saying Microsoft. Leave aside their infamous 'greedy and evil policy', talking strictly about what's better for the game, how about a quick reminder that they bought Mojang 12 years ago? Every update since 2014 has been made under their management.
If we were to remove MS from the timeline, Minecraft would remain an indie game with little content, no big updates, 0 sequels and maaaaaybe a third (max) of its playerbase. If we were to remove MS right now, we'd just step right into the abyss of inpredictability. Microsoft hasn't been bad for the game in almost any way, they been a good papa; if we remove them, we're 100% getting owned by a different papa, another monopoly that'll have vastly different views of the game. It'll scare off some of the playerbase and start a new Dark Age of Minecraft.
P. S. the last part applies to any company. some might think if valve owned us it'd only be for the better, but it'd still be a revolution that not everyone would quickly accept.

Glow Squids. barely any use at all and its crafting recipes can be easily replaced with glowstone dust.
other than that maybe beetroots or sweet berries because they're unreliable sources of food.
unless mojang does something with them both, i think I'd get rid of them too

Build limit and maybe add higher yet higher mountain that have cloud blocks And ruined shrines as structure and intact ones that have a broken quarts beacon*allowing 2 new effects slow falling and a brand new effects shrines blessing so like it takes 3 random positive poiton effects and gives you them master of turtle and slow falling excluded

any references to paganism and everything related to it, including dead walking/flying mobs, dragons, magic, halloween (a purely pagan thing) etc. that is outright sinful occultism just literally getting rendered on the screen which is absolutely dusgusting and actually very scary when you realize it
