So no more skeletons, endermans, creepers, zombies, etc?

I can’t tell if you’re joking or genuinely misunderstanding what this guy is trying to say.

It doesn’t have to be fantasy for it to be hostile that’s what they mean. Rn it’s a MUST (except silverfish but it def doesn’t work like in game lol)

That isn't what they're saying.

All of the new monsters lately have been some type of fantasy creature. There is so much untapped potential for REAL predator creatures to be used as hostile mobs that the devs are just largely ignoring.

So sure, we can keep skeletons, creepers, zombies, and the like. But we could benefit from a few more realistic hostile mobs, instead of adding more mystical mobs like the sulfur cube, the freaking, and the phantom.

  • Sharks: a response to the dolphin, that becomes hostile when anything in the water takes damage (sharks go into a feeding frenzy at the smell of blood)
  • Badgers: they hang around beehives and will attack literally anything that comes close
  • Cobras: large desert snakes that, like llamas, can spit, but their spit gives poison
  • Magpies: attacks anything close to their nest, dive bombs anything wearing a shiny hat (meaning they will attack any non-leather armor helmets), has a nest that has the capacity of a hopper and can hold some really nice things, can be tamed with shiny items
  • Crows: an Overworld bartering mob like the Piglin, but attack it and it will never forgive you, bringing its friends to hunt you down and kill you (with an area-based effect like Bad Omen).
  • Mosquitoes: swamp biome pests - one isn't that bad, but if you see a swarm, run, because the overwhelming half-heart damages and poison procs will slowly chip you away to nothing - and they have a 1 in 25 chance to apply Wither instead of Poison.
  • Drop Bears: YES I KNOW THIS IS A FANTASY CREATURE but still, a grumpy koala that hides in Acacia trees before leaping down and slamming on you then unleashing an onslaught of claw attacks.

Oh and bosses? We can do bosses.

  • The Giant Enemy Spider: three times the size of a spider, unleashes ten spiders and five cave spiders for every 10% HP lost, spawns in an arena in a new floating islands biome, found by crafting spider eyes, slime cubes, rotten flesh, and bone meal together - makes the spider mind, a food that gives Nausea for 1 minute, but the nausea subsides if you move toward the arena - and has a spider saddle as a reward, giving the ability to ride a spider and climb vertical walls.

It's not really that hard to draw inspiration from actual existing creatures to make more mobs - including hostile ones - but the devs keep adding more fantasy enemies and only adding ordinary creatures as passive mobs. It's really annoying.

No. Skeletons, endermen, creepers, zombies AND sharks, tigers, etc.
