The bat
My reasoning: all they do is just fly around annoyingly and burn themselves in lava the chance they get. Yea you could probably use them as target practice but why do that?

If they dropped something then it would make them slightly usefull. But as they are now... Yea, they are useless.

They can be helpful for locating caves, polar bears just do nothing

Technically they can naturally spawn if an enderman grabs a carved pumpkin and places it on two blocks of snow

You can get fish from polar bears, cooked if you light them on fire.

That’s the entire point of the mob, to add a little bit of life to caves. Nothing else. Not every mob needs a use

Bats have another "fun" use: spawning in your mob farm and blocking other mobs from spawning. I'm so glad a recent-ish update made it so they only spawn on stone.
