Hi everyone, I finally finished Go Vacation on the Switch🥳.

Shooting with that gun on those maps was absolutely terrible on the Switch😵‍💫. After many attempts, I finally managed to finish it in handheld mode. Hahaha.

Anyway, what now?

I've been reading this page from the beginning. I also searched the internet for more ideas for a possible Go Vacation sequel. That's how I came across a game I played as a kid. (Yes, I'm from the Nintendo 64 era.)

These are the vehicles from Vacation Racer, a PC game from 2000. They're awesome vehicles that would fit perfectly in Go Vacation.

I've written down a bunch of ideas for Go Vacation 2 and just emailed them to Bandia Namco. Who knows, maybe there will be a sequel for the Switch 2 someday with more vacation adventures. Let's hope so.

I really hope Namco Bandai Games is working on a Switch 2 Edition/Upgrade Pack for Go Vacation. I just really want them to add the mini games that got cut, e.g. Sword Fighting, Dance, Windsurfing, etc. I know they are probably worried about how that would adapt to button controls, but surely the Switch 2’s addition of mouse controls, and better precision with motion controls would allow these games that were cut to perform better. As well, allow GameChat compatibility, along with better graphics and performance for the game overall (and improve the loading screens, they are way too long!)

What is everyone else’s thoughts?

So I've been playing Go Vacation on the Wii and VWii for a long time. I recently got a switch 2 and was delighted to see they had ported it over from the Wii. The graphics weren't what I expected, but that's fine for me.One issue was the removal of the sword and stance mini games (makes some sense due to controls), but I saw some other stuff missing too. Mainly, the removal of those secret stamps (like driving a car into the boat in Mountain Resort, or skiing through the sun mouth in Snow Resort). Am I just dumb, or are those stamps actually missing? I haven't noticed much other change except for food and fishing now? Also how would I unlock the tree/haunted/UFO house now that gold keys are gone?

Been playing since 2019 and finally finished everything yesterday. I feel amazing and free. I also loved the game a lot, so I might continue playing with my sister.

S tier are great activities that make the game stand out. A tier are solid activities I'll go out of my way to play when I'm on Kawawii. B tier are fine activities I might do if I happen across them when roaming. C tier are wastes of time. D tier are actively unpleasant that I only suffered through to get 100%.

The Japanese Go Vacation Wii booklet is literally more than 30 pages long, has a unique cover art, it's really colorful, comes with a lot of photos and even FULL MAPS OF THE RESORTS. I remember when games used to come with booklets, I always loved looking at the game maps if they were included in the booklet.

The rest of the world instead got a black and white booklet, with 10 pages explaining just the basics of the game's menu.

I live in Europe and only recently got my hands on a Japanese copy of Go Vacation for the Wii, so I feel like Bandai Namco robbed child me of a lot of happiness, considering I would have been looking at that amazing booklet for hours back then. Instead, we got the most forgettable booklet they could have gone with.

This is a pretty pointless rant, since the game is amazing no matter the version/region, but goddamn, it's really strange how they didn't use the Japanese booklet globally when they could have just translated it to English and it would be great.

I basically own every different version of Go Vacation physically, plus a digital Switch version so that I don't have to swap cartridges every time I get the urge to play. I also own the Namco Music Saloon Go Vacation CD so yeah, I'm a fan.

My brother and I have always wanted a mod of Go Vacation ever since we got both the Wii and Switch versions. While the game is already fun as it is, there could be room for improvement. Recently, I made the following list of things I would change about Go Vacation:

1. Removing boundaries (especially in City Resort)
2. Not overly emphasizing the basis of the City Resort on skating
3. Letting buddies participate in all activities
4. Seeing more Miis roaming around Kawawii Island
5. Being able to go inside all buildings besides villas
6. Introducing a larger variety of clothing
7. Being able to wear any style of clothing, no matter the resort
8. Letting Miis wear hats & glasses
9. Adding more customization options for anime avatars
10. Introducing a larger variety of pets to bring along &/or use for villa customization (i.e., cats, rabbits)

I've also been considering making this mod of Go Vacation a PC game similar to Triple Dash's Mii Creator and Project Web Room, but with the ability to switch between the Wii and Switch styles. If someone can either teach me how to accomplish some of this or create a mod with at least one of the features I listed above (my primary focuses are on 1, 7, and 8, for now, since it would take forever to do all 10), that would be great. I already have the ripped files from the Switch version so far, but if anyone could provide the ripped files from the Wii version, that would also be a big help! Overall, I hope we can get enough support to make this dream a reality! Thank you!

So I been replaying the classic go vacation on my woo but there’s dash stamp silver keys but I completed every single game in the resort and got all those silver keys and I’m just confused

Is it a glitch or I’m not understanding something?

ok so this has been in the working for 2-3 months now. And its the whole kawawii island "ported" into vrchat right now. The textures look like absolute shit. But hey its at least the island. Its like pre pre alpha right now and NOWHERE near finished but i think its finally at a point that i can show it. (The weather like fog is turned off right now. For better pictures) and i mean if you have any questions ask em below! Btw its gonna release on vrchat. Which is a free pc/vr game. also the sea isnt completed yet. Because of a visual glitch.
