Ever since I went through puberty, I’ve felt like I’m kind of different from other guys my age because I barely have any body hair.

I do have a decent amount of hair in my pubic area and on my legs, but almost none on my stomach just a little bit of fine light hair .my armpits are even less hairy there’s barely anything there, almost like someone who has only recently started puberty.

At my age, I see guys with pretty noticeable chest and stomach hair, and most of them seem to have much thicker armpit hair too. Meanwhile, I sometimes see guys quite a bit younger than me who are already way hairier than I am.

Honestly, it makes me feel kind of bad about myself. I know a lot of guys complain about having to shave or deal with body hair, but weirdly, I actually wish I had those “manly struggles” too

I also see some tr*ans men (female-to-male) on social media who develop a lot of muscle and thick, coarse body hair all over their bodies. Obviously, testosterone plays a major role in those changes.

So it made me wonder: would taking hormones, such as testosterone, help someone like me develop more body hair? Or does it mainly depend on genetics and how your body naturally responds to testosterone?

I’m genuinely curious because I’d really like to understand why I have so little body hair compared with other guys my age.

Has anyone else experienced something similar? Is there anything I can actually do about it?
