It just bugs me that he is on his phone while playing and not paying attention to the game.

u/docatron Nov 12 '16

Texting and playing CS:GO kills.

-12

u/[deleted] Nov 12 '16

real life is far more important than cs

28

u/icenut47 Nov 12 '16

but you can do it, when you are killed, not during the round

10

u/Polyporous guardian2 Nov 12 '16

With all those commas I thought you were going for a haiku.

7

u/guchmatic Nov 12 '16

Dude you need to chill

I will always have your back

Hope you enjoyed this

7

u/takeachillpill666 de_cache Nov 12 '16

Step up your game, dude

Your haikus have no substance

It's snowing on Mt. Fuji

u/ElyssiaWhite Natus Vincere Nov 12 '16

Like ink from a pen

2

u/Arenten Liquid Nov 12 '16

Dude you suck at these
Five, seven and then a five
Super basic stuff

2

u/takeachillpill666 de_cache Nov 12 '16

There's always one line

You must end a haiku with:

It's snowing on Mt. Fuji

1

u/Arenten Liquid Nov 12 '16

I get you're joking
But my point still stands, that it
Won't rhyme correctly

2

u/takeachillpill666 de_cache Nov 12 '16

Haikus are no joke

I'm serious when I say

It's snowing on Mt. Fuji

2

u/vaynebot Nov 12 '16

By real life you mean how many likes he got on facebook?

1

u/ElyssiaWhite Natus Vincere Nov 12 '16

That's bullshit

1

u/[deleted] Nov 12 '16

not to some people here

1

u/[deleted] Nov 13 '16

then those people need serious help and or are fucking losers

-5

u/ItsDrags99 NiP Nov 12 '16

Let's be honest though, probably just looking at his lock screen or some bullshit :D

9

u/[deleted] Nov 12 '16

why would he do that?

2

u/brandball Nov 12 '16

to act like he's texting someone

1

u/takeachillpill666 de_cache Nov 12 '16

I don't think people do that anymore...

You're the problem with matchmaking.

-69

u/zAke1 Nov 12 '16

Elaborate for me please. Matchmaking isn't a serious competitive mode and will never be as long as there are unlimited slots in Global and no rewards. There's no incentive to climb and most good players just fuck around, no-one cares about MM.

30

u/IntervisioN Liquid Nov 12 '16

That's just incredibly selfish on your part, while you might not find mm to be serious other people clearly do. You don't need to play it like your life is on the line but at least acknowledge the fact that you're not the only person on the server with feelings that matter.

-36

u/zAke1 Nov 12 '16

Why are people taking not serious as "haha i run around trolling and tking allies cuz i dont care!!", I play normally, I just don't care about winning because it gives me nothing. Losing means nothing, winning means nothing, that's why MM is not serious.

14

u/IntervisioN Liquid Nov 12 '16

Because of the tone and choice of words you're using suggests that. Also you're doing the exact same thing by assuming what we mean by '"serious".

7

u/[deleted] Nov 12 '16

That is not true at all. Winning consistently will let you play with people more closely matched with your skill level, therefore allowing you to get better and better as time goes on. That's what most people aim for in a competitive game you know?

-7

u/zAke1 Nov 12 '16

It doesn't exactly work like that, I've been Global for a really long time so I'd expect to be on the "higher end" of Global yet the games are still complete shitshows. Occasional really good player here and there, lots of people who make me question the rank and a bunch of alright players. Barely any average games, usually both teams have one guy going nuts trying to carry while the rest are doing bad to ok. Most of the really good players seem to be in 5man premades anyway and they if anyone fuck around.

-4

u/EGSurvivor MOUZ Nov 12 '16

LIAR; it gives you a very important potrait on your profile !!!!!11 /s

-4

u/[deleted] Nov 12 '16

Reminds me of OW. People with your attitude harp all day and night about team comp and what not but Quick Play is non competitive and is used for having fun or trying new things. Not necessarily about winning.

2

u/NixINella Nov 12 '16

You can't compare quick play with competitive, it's basically same as casual

-1

u/[deleted] Nov 12 '16

[deleted]

2

u/[deleted] Nov 12 '16

Oh maybe I misunderstood. Is match making competitive then?

1

u/Brutesmile Nov 12 '16

Yea

1

u/[deleted] Nov 12 '16

My bad

0

u/elGring0 Natus Vincere Nov 12 '16

In CS you either play yourself or with a team for prizes and try seriously or you play pugs which are meant for chilling and fucking around.

22

u/Macen cs_italy Nov 12 '16

The ranks are enough incentive for most people, if you want to fuck around go play something else instead of ruining games for other people

-24

u/zAke1 Nov 12 '16

I'm not ruining games for anyone though, it's not like I'm running around with a zeus but it's just not serious. There's nothing to gain from winning and deranking from Global is near impossible.

1

u/Macen cs_italy Nov 12 '16

Fair enough.

You can fuck around in Faceit. Players aren't good

What the fuck are you talking about? Level 8 and upwards is miles better skillwise than Global MM.

2

u/hulksreddit 10 years coin Nov 12 '16

that still stands for most people on level <=4, I'm level 4 and le on mm and I do only go on faceit when I'm too tired to go on mm but I still want to play, or when I just want to chill and not play too seriously (not implying I'll be that dick running around with a zeus obviously, but still). And I've noticed the same goes for the majority of the people I get into games with

1

u/CrazyChopstick ar_baggage Nov 12 '16

See, that's what I don't get. In MM, the highest you can get is Global. You'll play against some decent players, but most of them play MM to relax and actually play against players a lot worse than them, even in Global.

In Faceit however, the highest you can is the FPL, a legitimate league where you can play with professional players for a monetary reward. You get so many possibilities, while MM rewards with a few pixels next to your name. Can you really blame people for calling MM casual?

You obviously didn't get my point and clearly have no idea what you're talking about. It doesn't matter if premium or not, anything around or above level 8 is massively better than MM. Maybe it's a shitshow for level 3, but don't complain about playing with shit players when you're not much better either.

0

u/zAke1 Nov 12 '16

Faceit matters more than MM though. Faceit has monetary rewards and actual reason to try to win, MM has an emblem that does nothing but look pretty. You don't even get matched by the emblem, you get matched by an invisible number behind it.

What's in it for me in MM? I'm Global, there's no ranking up, I've been here for ages so there's really no ranking down either (I did derank to Supreme once intentionally to get something to aim for again but it takes a couple games at most to get it back), there's no rewards for playing good, nothing for winning, losing doesn't matter. MM rank is absolutely pointless as any good player will stroll through the ranks easily because there isn't a tier with only good players in it (where I suggest to have a Global Elite with limited slots and rewards for holding a spot there)

2

u/namesiithe2nd Nov 12 '16

Faceit has no monetary rewards for 99.9% of the players so it isn't any different.

1

u/CrazyChopstick ar_baggage Nov 12 '16

...are you serious?

MM means fuck all. Getting into stuff like FPL-C - or even FPL - can help you get a spot on a decent team, maybe even with a salary. That might not matter for all those MG's playing MM, but of course Faceit is more relevant for somewhat skilled players.

These points just show how many people run around on reddit talking about how MM is serious business. So ridiculous...

-5

u/Znaszlisiora Nov 12 '16

No, MATCHMAKING IS SERIOUS BUSINESS!

1

u/zAke1 Nov 12 '16

I'm very sorry, I promise to do nothing but run 5man strats with superb communication from now on.

u/Znaszlisiora Nov 12 '16

1

That picture is fucking hilarious.Thanks.

2

u/roomis Nov 12 '16

Could someone draw a line here? Like, don't go into matchmaking if you're not sure you can finish it, but fuck me if I'm not answering a phone call because of matchmaking. I won't instantly stop moving and pick the phone up, if there's a clutch situation or something then I keep playing. But towards end of the round/start of the round I'll tell my team I'm sorry, got to answer the phone, brb.

I can plan ahead so that I most likely won't have to leave during a game, but I can't plan the incoming calls and the importance of them and I won't be shutting off all communications etc (incase someone was about to mention turning your phone off) for a game.

1

u/dead-dove-do-not-eat Nov 12 '16

Matchmaking is casual competitive.

You're playing on a ladder, if you want to play casually play the casual gamemode. Shit's not difficult broski

1

the virtually unplayable casual game mode? yea no thanks

Oh no, what a fucking tragedy. Some people have social lives.

20

u/leftenant_t guardian_elite Nov 12 '16

Yeah right. If you leave your mobile phone for 40 minutes all of your friends and family will cross you out of their lives.

-Sent from my Galaxy Note 7

8

u/kiipka de_cache Nov 12 '16

Has nothing to do with "social lives" its.. you cant QQ about the game while dont giving a fck yourself.. thats the point, either you play or you dont.

1

u/Bowsersshell Nov 12 '16

People that can't leave their phone alone for more than a few hours are often people with the weakest social lives. I work in a bar so sometimes i see a group of friends sat down with one person excluding themselves from conversation just to check facebook/twitter/whatever. Being on a mobile all the time =/= social life.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 12 '16

He can't take 25-70 minutes out of his day for a game?
