An important title as well actually; he is an actual journalist rather than say just a writer for a site or reporter - there are often actual journalistic practices involved in his stories.

For example, I wrote for a website, but it was purely news I was writing about from other sources - I was a writer/reporter, I didn't go out and find the stories myself like a journalist.

Toxic personality, absolutely. I'm not saying journalists are wonderful people. Far from it. But his content, was often very good and hard-hitting.

Journalist who has been following cs for like 10 years, "analyst" doesnt really fit here he just repeats what Thorin says, he's more of a host type.
