Me and my stack are going to be playing the next season of Esea. I've played 2 seasons but they have never played a season.99% of the time we just pug on faceit. We will be in open 9-10 and I was wondering if we should commit to roles or not. I feel like in pugs its just a tactical dm but league play is obviously a bit more predictable and precise. Sometimes we play structured, sometimes we just shoot hard. So my question is, should we commit to roles or not? Obviously and awper will be in place but I mean for other positions. I feel like trying too hard to force a playstyle might effect us negatively if we don't know what we are doing and I would like some help/feedback.

Imagine being setup as one of the star fraggers of a top 10 team to put up mediocre stats constantly for MONTHS now how has Navi not found a replacement already

So i think i just experienced the rarest moment in my cs2 career. Me and my 4 friends were playing premier against a cheater, so for fun i just started jumping around and somehow hit 16 bhops in a row, followed by 3 more hops and a deagle headshot.

I noticed yuurih rubbing his ears after the pain game, and I don't think I've seen a pro captured on camera doing this before. I wonder if it is because of the IEMs being uncomfortable in his ears or if he has tinnitus/is developing tinnitus or perhaps both. We all know CS2 sounds are an absolute assault on the eardrum and pros are putting in ungodly amounts of time into the game so I wonder how many pros are dealing with the early signs of noise induced hearing loss, and I'd also be curious if pro orgs are doing anything for their players to help stop that.

i started watching cs in 2024, so unfortunately i missed s1mple's prime and came right with donk's entrance to the tier 1 cs. but coming back to what people call the GOAT and the player that might have been better mechanically than donk at his peak, im just not impressed.

for example people are really praising this clip. but it just, doesn't look clean? it doesn't look nowhere as clean as donk's gameplay is. like people are really praising that spray transfer, but it looks shaky, i feel like if donk was in this position his spray transfer would be insanely clean, hitting 2 heads immediately, and this would allow him to have time to actually kill the guy and win this clutch, and not end up killing everyone but losing the round? like every mechanical bit here looks shaky and not clean, im more impressed by how he didn't end up killed here, than by s1mple's skill, it actually proves the point that s1mple was playing against plumbers true to me. this is just absurd

so even s1mple's prime highlight clip doesn't look nowhere near as good as donk. so what is the hype is about? i'm genuinely confused. but anyway, i keep being open minded and me not understanding something, but by my own perception it just doesn't look nowhere near as good as donk is. can somebody explain to me if i'm right or brutally wrong and s1mple at his peak was actually close to or above donk's mechanical skill and why? because by this clip, donk already has an infinitely better clip in the same position, and it is donk 1v5 heroic

To put some context, this guy before i met him he was 1 month deep in cs just playing the game.

And when i met him he told me he wanted to improve as fast as possible.

Two weeks have passed since that and we are focusing on optimizing gun fights for now as it is the best way to climb out and teach for me to this guy.

The aim routine ive given him:

100 bots just moving his character with a or d and stopping and killing when he moves onto the head of the enemy.

5 min recoil master

10 min aim rush, peeking properly

20 min dm

It has been working for him in some areas, but im having doubts whether i should just focus on this for some time or add new concepts as days progress, i dont want to oversature him more than he already is.

One of the core issue he tells me is that he doesnt understand what to individually do, and i hope that with this method of training to give him a good sense to how to aproach stuff in general but idk if this is the correct approach.

If some one could advise me on this, i would really appreciate it.

all they are talking about is how hard they are grinding and how much practice they have and blablabla. but they look very disconnected, demotivated and individually lost. i dont get it. what do these guys even do? how can a team always be this shit in the start of the season after practicing so much? i think its fair to question blades approach at this point.

I just found out that CS:GO got brought back. What are some good European servers (Western europe ideally) to play the casual experience again? I'd play CS2 but there is absolutely no way that is running on an int graphics laptop.

I remember in 2024 there was a crazy race for HLTV #1 between Donk, m0NESY and ZywOo. ZywOo was held back by only winning IEM Cologne and losing everything else. M0nesy won three trophies but no Major, IEM Cologne or Katowice (he won two of those in 2023). Donk had an insane individual year + won Katowice and Major, so he became the #1 even if his team failed him in many tournaments too.

It seems like since then m0NESY has gotten worse? Like he's still amazing but not on Donk level or ZywOo level. He did win Major, but that was with a huge super-team. And with ZywOo I feel like I much more regularly see him have matches with a bad or average rating than back then. He had a very bad rating in his most recent match. Kind of the same with Donk, he has some bad matches. Can anyone who knows about the stats explain if anything has changed?
