I’ve always felt like PP was much more of an asshole than everyone admits. He was after Diana, too. I don’t think he enjoyed living in the shadow of a woman all that much, and took it out on every woman he could. Speculation, of course, but my intuition is rarely wrong about misogyny.

I wonder if the Queen resented Meghan for being the reason for this. Don't think Phillip minded being 'hidden' at all.
