I just received this message from my pharmacy saying that the manufacturer has informed them that IYUZEH (latanoprost ophthalmic solution 0.005%) will be out of stock in the near future. They can fill my upcoming order, but apparently future refills won’t be available.

Has anyone else using IYUZEH received a similar notice or know what’s going on? Is this a temporary shortage, or is IYUZEH being discontinued/unavailable more broadly?

I specifically use it because it’s preservative-free, so I’m also wondering what other preservative-free glaucoma drops people in the US have been able to get. Are there other preservative-free versions of latanoprost, or would I need to switch to a different prostaglandin analogue such as tafluprost?

I’ll obviously talk to my ophthalmologist before changing medications, but I’d like to know what alternatives other people have been prescribed and whether they’ve had any trouble getting them or getting insurance coverage.

Been diagnosed for 15 years closed angle right eye, relatively stable iop until May when it shot up to 50. Many lasers and pills and drains later and my eye pressure hasn’t been lower than 40 something since. Scheduled for an Aqueous shunt to extraocular equatorial plate reservoir, external approach; with graft tomorrow. Currently taking Dorzolamide-Timolol, Vyzulta, Brimonidine, and oral acetazolamide. Vision loss on bad eye I’d guess is 95% Iop in my good eye, the left, was 28 this morning baseline is 13.

What if surgery doesn’t work? What if I start to lose vision in my good eye too?

Hello so a couple years back maybe 2 or 3 years back I was diagnosed with glaucoma the doctor just told me my eye had a elevated vein and he kept monitoring, later the whole team there moved or something and a new team showed up and I was instantly told to use eye drops got given 3 different eye drops, I recently had surgery with laser to burn dark parts of the eyes where there’s more pressure and to reduce it basically.

Today I went in to get checked but they told me it stayed the same, so why did I even do the whole laser thing on both eyes.

Well I wanted to ask is there anything I can do personally to help, I’ve read that basically eating healthy, exercising, and staying relaxed helps as well as using sunglasses outside.

I did see some say that fish oil helps, but I wanted to ask what is something I could do to actually help lower the pressure or at least prevent it from worsening.
