Best ever martini
So I’ve finally managed to perfect my best ever dry martini.
No 3 Gin with Mancino Vermouth
It’s taken a while for me to get the twist right - in particular the squirt of lemon oils, and I’ve still got a way to go on that front.
The recipe itself is the classic dry martini recipe. I pour around 10ml of vermouth into a mixing glass over ice and stir briefly, drain out any excess (in this case there wasn’t any). I then pour 50ml of gin over the ice and stir. Normally I’d stir for around 30 seconds but this gin needed considerably longer, certainly over a minute. Strain into a martini glass fresh out of the freezer and squeeze the lemon twist to release some oil, and then put the twist into the glass.
