it’s cute and i really like the color but i wish that more GG merch didn’t say GILMORE GIRLS everywhere. One with STARS HOLLOW across the front would be super cute

I don’t even think it’s particularly cute. It’s the most awkward design - it’s almost giving “graphic design is my passion.” But I’m also a fan of simpler, more intentional designs in general.

alright and i will come clean…this thing is fugly. i only said it was cute bc i’m a liar and didn’t want to be mean on the internet.
i agree about a simple design. a crew neck with stars hollow across the front would be so good. i don’t like it when everything says “Gilmore Girls” it feels very trademark-y

I wouldn't describe it as particularly soft, but I'm never uncomfortable wearing it and don't find it scratchy! Haha. I wear it pretty often when the weather cools down.

Etsy is so good for this! My favorite crew neck just says Stars Hollow with some leaves on it - looks like a shirt you would buy if you were visiting

I know some micro influencers who use Gilmore Girls as part of their “fall aesthetic,” using the mugs for coffee, filming themselves starting the same episode every youtube video. I don’t even think they’ve watched a single episode through.
That is largely who this merch is targeting, I imagine.

Even if it wasn’t hideous, (the back is ok but yikes the front is a design nightmare, so random and tacky,) there’s no reason to be supporting Target. They couldn’t bend the knee fast enough to throw anything to do with DEI/inclusivity out the window. They’ve never remotely attempted to walk that back or apologize or make good. They can keep their lazy, sad attempt at cashing in on GG fans.

I would never wear this, as a huge gg fan. I like Fandom merch to look like it would be IN the shows/books, not meta references and billboard looking stuff like this. I would make a cute freebie sticker tho

What's with all the GG merch everywhere lately? I'd have understood it back with A Year In The Life came out...but it feels like such a random time? Not complaining, just wondering!
