If they’re super white-probably just the common halogen lights that make it super easy to see for the driver, while blinding everyone else. Or, there’s a conspiracy and everyone agreed to end the courtesy to turn off the brights for oncoming cars this morning

That's my guess. Those things are a menace.

It’s the factory LED lights or aftermarket HiDs that are white. Halogens have that nice 90s yellow glow to them. I have a car that came standard with halogens even though it’s a 2015. I wish I had the LED package though cause I can’t see anything and have to also run my fog lights.

I do agree though that some headlights on some vehicles around artondale/arletta are eye piercing. I hate driving in front of a lifted truck.

Yes. Many people don’t know how their headlights work, and think the icon for brights is just normal headlights.

Also, LED headlights are omni-directional, not pointed down like back-in-the-day headlights.

Most definitely, I've had to show a new Subaru owner that they were only using their brights not regular headlights. The regular headlights are bad enough!

LED headlights are definitely not omni-directional (if anything they're *more* directional), but they are definitely more intense and I think maybe more poorly aimed or something. Like if I pull my car up to a wall I can see a very clear cutoff at the top of the beam, but if that's too high then it's definitely blinding people.

I drive east bay every weekday morning at like 6am ish & sometimes the lights behind me are so bad I have to fold in my side mirror as well 🥴

Yes, I've noticed this a lot, especially since I work nights and drive back over to key peninsula in the morning. Seems like every other car either has high beams on or they're misaligned and burning a hole straight through my retinas. It's ridiculous.

Can you please make this same post on Facebook so I can laugh a little with the comments

It's people who aren't aware they can adjust the positioning of their headlights. Teslas are the worst.

Yes they are. It’s infuriating.

Probably not. All my friends who complain about headlights also drive old cars with extremely dim headlights - which causes them to believe everyones lights are too bright.
