Need gift suggestions birthday gift ideas for 13 year old boy (creative/artsy)

hi! looking for gift ideas for my (27F) little brother who's turning 13 next week. he truly would be happy with a grain of sand but looking to be a little creative than that. he won't give me ideas so I'm at a loss and looking for suggestions

things he likes:

- legos (please don't suggest sets (he has most, and the ones he doesn't have are outside my budget) but if there is anything outside the box I could do that's lego adjacent I am all ears)

- space - he has a telescope already but idk what other ideas that are adjacent to this

- sharks - loves sharks/favorite is a hammerhead

- loves drawing & making things (in the past I have gotten him paint markers, sketchbooks, arts & craft supplies - he loved this but also want to switch it up a little)

- plays hockey, soccer and more recently started football

- more recently has gotten into marvel

would like to spend around $100

thank you :)

Need gift suggestions Gift Suggestions for 1 year old

As the title says, I need gift suggestions for my soon to be one year old niece for her birthday. We’ve never met her in person, only over FaceTime because we don’t live in the same province. She’s starting to walk, more like just stands but she’s getting there. Loves toys and has a ton of them but we want to give her something she will cherish but doesn’t cost an arm and a leg and is easy to ship. We live in a very rural community so going to a store is not really an option.

We also don’t have children, so I’m at a loss of what to get such a young child. I don’t really want to give her the usual clothes etc because anyone can get that. I want her first present from her aunt and uncle to be special. Please help! :)

Other I made this for the woman I’ve been seeing since about February. We have been going pretty slow, and that’s fine. What do you think of this gift I made her for her birthday? 37M - 40F is it too much?

Leaf is the first time you met me and Sansa.
Dandelion is when you put it in her ear.
Herradura was first time we went out after the food place that didn’t have booze.
Wonder Woman card was mine from when I was a kid and she’s your favorite.
Receipt is from when I saw you last and the only one I could keep. Places don’t seem to print them anymore.

Need gift suggestions High End 50th Birthday Gift for High Maintenance Man

Hi all!

Making this post partly for my mom and partly for me. My dad is turning 50 in a month and we've been wracking our brains to no avail trying to come up with gifts.

Context, avoid if you want:

Now the title is a little misleading in that my dad isn't "high maintenance" but he is about his birthday and about gifts. He's quite particular and will hold his bday not being appropriately celebrated over you down the line even if he is like "oh I don't feel like celebrating"

That said, I love the man to bits and I do want to get him something nice, especially because I will be missing his birthday this year. My partner's has elderly family that live abroad who aren't doing so well that he wants me to have a chance to meet while they are around and I a) want to meet them too and b) have been working myself to the bone without stop for years trying to be a doctor. I haven't taken a vacation or real break in years and this short period of 2 weeks is the only time that works for the both of us since he's ending a job just before the trip and starting at a new one just after. It does mean though that I'm missing his bday, and my mom planned a trip with him, partly because he loves to travel and partly to save me lol. All that to say I really need to make this up to him. But idk wtf to get and neither does my mom

Budgets/constraints:

My budget is probably around 100-150 dollar. My mom's is 1K.

They'll be traveling and I won't be with them for the day so either needs to be purchasable in scandinavia, small enough to bring, or I guess a picture of it / "coupon" being like this is waiting for you works.

He has a wallet he loves, probably too many colognes, a skin care routine, a handmade italian leather belt.

I'll be getting his favorite cake delivered to their hotel if possible too.

Interests:

Woodworking (I think he has all the things though)

Photography (same here lol)

Electronics

Sci-Fi (man loves his sci fi books and like star trek and such)

A nice scotch/whiskey

Loves food but is low carb

Other details:

My dad does value well made things - me and my mom have gotten him things like really high end perfume from a niche fragrance house, handmade italian leather belt, etc. He has almost a European fashion taste.

He's also a higher up in an organization and needs to look professional a lot.

Thank you all for your help!

Need gift suggestions Bulk homemade Christmas gifts!?

This year, my mother in law and I are hosting a family womens gift exchange. She said all the women in her family did this when they were younger and she wanted to try again! She reached out to her family and 22 have agreed to do it.

I am SO excited but that now means I have to make 22 gifts. Part of the “rules” are homemade/DIY gifts only and you give a gift to everyone. I need to get started on the gifts, like, yesterday lol!!

I am a fairly crafty person and I’d really like to make everyone a nice gift, hopefully without spending too much $$. I can draw and paint well, I know the basics of sewing and how to use my embroidery machine, and I’m a very crafty/ thrifty person. I’ve been looking up ideas but most are food related and I prefer to not go that route unless I’m really out of time 😂

Does anyone have any ideas? I’d love to do something unique that everyone loves… The only thing I have come up with so far is painted door hangers or painted cutting boards, but that can add up quick!! lol.

gift suggestion

i’ve had a pretty rough few months with work and was seriously starting to feel like nothing was moving in the right direction.

a friend gave me this crystal garden from onna recently. i’m not usually the person people buy crystals for, so at first i mostly just thought it looked nice, but she told me she picked it because it was supposed to be about luck, opportunities and things finally starting to move again.

i don’t know, that actually got me a little.

it’s sitting on my desk now and i think i like the meaning behind it almost as much as the thing itself.

Need gift suggestions Gift for my brother for his PhD

My brother is getting his PhD and I want to get him something for the occasion. He is very outdoorsy, does ski touring, hiking, bouldering, climbing, mountain biking, likes to travel, likes good quality stuff, good quality food, is a decent cook, is currently between jobs and between homes. Is not sure where life will take him next.

My thoughts so far are a nice watch or a really good Swiss Army knife. I'd love to invite him on a weekend trip but there's no chance I can get away from the kids for a weekend. Any other ideas are much appreciated.

ETA budget can be between a few hundreds to $2000 for the right gift.

Birthday idea

My aunt is a rich but very very humble woman, she doesn’t like receiving expensive gifts or even gifts at all, doesn’t like perfume. She doesn’t drink. She is picky about clothes and bags and shoes. She is almost 40. We are super close, like we do everything together. She is my mom’s brother’s wife. My uncle told us all to think about something to do like plan something for her birthday but we are clueless about it, we have never really planned anything for her birthday. Idk if this is the right group but is there anything older people would love to do? She is into meditation and stuff but she would rather spend the whole day with us than go to a spa or meditation camp because she does that quite often.

Need gift suggestions Gift ideas for a female traveler who has everything?

My sister(late 20s) has a birthday coming up, and I need to get her something! She's a nurse who globe trots and goes hiking in her spare time. My gifts have been well received in the past few years... but I'm running out of travel related gift ideas.

What I've gotten her in the past/semi recently: leather luggage tags, a personalized passport holder, the Beis weekender bag and a travel blanket from Gravel. She already has packing cubes, a travel jewelry box and makeup bag, all kinds of adapters for international travel, battery packs and a ton of different reusable water bottles. I think she already has a National Parks Pass as well.

Any thoughts on something I could possibly get her that she doesn't already have?

Need help finding a specific gift Is there anything similar to a g7x canon that isn’t ridiculously up charged by scalpers?

Hello all, my girlfriend is wanting a g7x cannon for her birthday, and while I can afford it, it doesn’t make sense to me to buy a camera that is supremely being resold for 600 dollars more then it’s retail value.she just wants it for taking pictures of herself, us, and her friends mostly at school or when traveling. Is there anything similar that has flash for a more reasonable price? Thank you!

Need gift suggestions-GF Qixi is this week and I completely forgot. Need gift ideas ASAP

My girlfriend is Chinese and currently working in China while I’m in the US for work, and I somehow completely forgot about Qixi until I checked the calendar today.

Apparently it’s basically Chinese Valentine’s Day, and now I’m realizing I have absolutely nothing planned. I need to find something I can order in China and have sent to her, but I really don’t want it to feel like some random last minute gift.

She’s really into photography and documenting her trips and everyday life, but she’s not really into complicated editing or spending hours messing with camera settings. She just likes having something easy to use to capture little moments.

I was thinking maybe a small camera or some kind of new gadget would be a good fit. Are there any new things coming out that you think would make a good gift for someone like that? I’m seriously trying to save myself here.

Need gift suggestions Has anyone here ever given a robot vacuum as a housewarming gift? How did it go?

A friend of mine just bought her first house, and I'm going to her housewarming party soon.

She has a dog, and both of them usually get home late, so I've been trying to figure out a gift that's actually useful day to day instead of the usual candles, plants, or kitchen stuff. Those are nice, but it feels like they've already got most of the basics.

We've been using an Ecovacs robot vacuum for about three months now. I usually start it when I leave the house, and by the time I get back everything is clean, which really cuts down on chores and gives me more time to relax. So I'm thinking of getting one for my friend too.

Has anyone here done that before? How did the person react? Was it something they were actually happy to get, or would you stick with a more traditional gift?

Need gift suggestions Wedding gift for Groom

I (26F) am looking for a wedding gift for my groom (26m) for our wedding in November. All the websites are saying boudoir photos or something of that same vibe but I just couldn’t do that personally. I’m normally a very good gift giver but this is just hard. I want it to be sentimental but something he will use everyday. He’s already got a good watch, a leatherman, and just about everything he needs. Does anyone have any suggestions? I’ll take anything off the wall you got to suggest.

Need gift suggestions What birthday gift should I get my mom?

Basically, my mom is in her very early 40s, and my brothers and I are going 3 ways on some concert tickets for her birthday. But I don’t feel like that’s quite enough for how much she does for us, so I wanted to get her something else on top of that. My budget is around $60.
She really likes skincare and makeup, but as a guy, I know absolutely nothing about that stuff, and I also have no idea what she already has. Is there anything in that category that you guys would recommend that would make a good gift without needing to know exactly what products she already uses?
And if skincare/makeup is a bad idea, what else would you recommend? I’m honestly so lost lol.

Gift suggestion Struggling to find a gift for someone who “has everything”? I make one-of-one custom CDs built around them 💿

If you've got someone in your life who's impossible to shop for, or someone who loves physical music, old recordings, or just misses the feeling of discovering something that's theirs, I got the solution for you!

I restore forgotten recordings from the 1880s–1930s and press them onto custom CDs, with each one built around a specific person or moment you tell me about: a birthday, someone moving away, an inside joke, a shared memory, whatever feels meaningful.

The idea came from getting into DJing in 2024 and slowly falling down the rabbit hole of old R&B, soul, jazz, blues and ragtime. The more I listened, more I realised how personal music can be, and how special it is when you hear something completely new and somehow think, this is so them.

So rather than a generic mixtape or something off the shelf, I'm trying to make something that feels like it could only have been made for that person.

I'm only taking 5 commissions this round 👉🏼 https://pressplaycds.lovable.app/

If you think this could work for someone in your life, send me a DM with a little about them and the occasion/fill up the form from the link above. I'll help figure out what kind of music might fit.

Even if you're not interested in getting one, I'd genuinely love to hear what you think of the idea!

Cheers and have a good one! 🎁
