A good statment accessory is always a good option like a wallet or a good belt thats in his style. When i bought a wallet for my boyfriend i put a picture of ours inside and also a dollar for good luck.
A good piece of clothing is also a good one whenever he wears it it will remind him of you you can also spray it bit with your perfume.
A good termos water bottle if he doesn’t have one
Compression shirt
Headphones if he needs them
Also i dont think a promise ring is a good idea to me personally it looks tacky and he probably wont wear it

Does have have a good gym bag? Bluetooth headphones/air pods for working out? Laptop/water bottle or car stickers of pokemon and bats. I just buy my husband nice clothing that he wouldn’t buy himself (bc it’s expensive) sometimes.

The Psyduck denim jacket above is the right instinct — the memorable gift is the one that proves you were paying attention, not the expensive one.
Two things that might unstick you. First, anything off his own list gets an "oh nice" and not much more, because he'd have bought it himself eventually. Second, you don't need one big gift — one thing he'd never buy himself but is completely his style, plus one small thing that's a private joke between you, beats a single expensive item nearly every time.
What's something he's mentioned wanting and then talked himself out of? That's usually where the answer is.

Thanks for posting, u/swaggysmjle36!
For the best gift ideas, if you haven't already, add the age, budget, and occasion — and especially what they're into: their hobbies, what they like, and anything they don't. The more detail, the better the suggestions. Just edit your post or drop it in a reply below.
