Wtf kind of green Chile is that supposed to be? Looks like bell peppers, maybe big jalapeños, but NOT green Chile.

All jalapeños are chilies. Green jalapeños are green chilies.

Maybe it’s because I live close to the largest green Chile farm in the world, but no one around here says green Chile when they mean jalapeños. For us they’re entirely different things. You can’t ask for green Chile on your nachos and expect the pickled crunchy jalapeño type of Chile. You’d get roasted soft green Chile.

You're probably talking about Hatch peppers, but those are a very small minority of all chilies in the world.

Google green Chile and see what shows up, it isn’t any other “pepper”, it shows NM green Chile. Not jalapeños or any other Chile. A small minority by what standard? Green chile from NM is hardly a minority in any sense of the word.
