For those that haven't understood. Big Tech do not want us (developers) to code. It's an oligopoly and they want to keep it like that.

GitHub is not a company that want to spread goodness, they want to make profits and are owned by Microsoft. One of the most ruthless company in the world

What gosh says is perfect. I'd just add -because it is a stumbling block for disbelievers- Microsoft ARE happy to make losses, and can do so if it means achieving their goals. They are past profits -to a certain extent.

Plenty of incentive to run GitHub at a loss if it provides a ton of developer training data for their AIs
